Not over here yet, the queues aren't bad at our local BP but I couldn't get any diesel in there at 6am this morning.

The first I read of this 'crisis' was last Thursday (from memory) on the BBC, an article saying a very small number of BP petrol stations were closed as there was a driver shortage. TBH I didn't really think anything of it. My daughter messaged me the next day, telling me there was a major problem with getting fuel in the UK, I replied something like 'Don't be daft it's just BP that have a few petrol stations closed because of driver shortage'. She sends me a picture of her local BP, all pumps coned off, and tells me the queues at the other 2 local petrol stations are huge and causing traffic jams. That told me :silent:
Everyone rushed out to buy fuel based on a story about a small number of stations being closed, and now it's all the media's fault for making them do it. :wtf: The British public seem to have developed a habit of blaming everyone else for their own choices

5 petrol stations with 4 miles, only one had fuel and a HUGE queue. So it’s not getting any better in my little corner of East Sussex!

Just took my son to the hospital in Epping. Massive queue at the local Sainbury's. Noticed the BP looked empty so assumed it was out. Then I noticed it had a tanker in it, then I saw the mile long queue on the other side on the road waiting for it to open. The other BP was out.

Joy.

Drove past 3 stations today. 1 was shut, the other 2 had queues that only just spill off the forecourt. Compare that to Sunday when they were spilling out onto the road for a couple of hundred metres.

I nipped over to Ile de mouton for a full tank, first fill up since the 13th.

No fuel to be found in Maidstone or Sittingbourne, none at J8 M20, looks like there were a few people having a sleepover in the carpark Sunday night.

No juice to be had in my hood...

Bike is down to one bar, our family bus is on fumes as is my Merc.

If the situation doesn't improve, I'll have to drive the Figaro. :o

Still got 200 miles in the Mondeo. Only done 40 miles in the last 5 days and that was only because of a doctors appointment. It'll last me until next weekend anyway. No idea if stations are full or empty round here.

Finally the missus managed to get a tank full in the Ovlov.
On my way home tonight managed to fill my bike as had been on fumes all week, bit of a queue but not terrible. Did piss me off though that fuel prices have risen this week pretty much every day!

Our HQ was going 'mainly remote' -before- covid, they were down to about 40 on-site. They haven't even attempted to recruit local -during- covid. Post-covid (I'm assuming we're in the post phase now) only 7 are interested in being on-sit - too remote or got used to WFH ?

So, I wonder how much of this is being replicated countrywide.
