Re: PANIC BUY!
I’ve just been into Shittingbourne to collect the floppy eared twats worm and flea tabs and all 4 stations on the way were out.
Just siphoned the last of the BMWs fuel out to put in the Tenere as that will do 70mpg going easy.
The car is showing 70 mile range left, enough to get us to the dentists and 1 round trip to work next week.
Had planned my week off mostly out riding but it looks like that’s scuppered, looks like DIY time

Re: PANIC BUY!
Tesco seemed to have a delivery of fuel, they were out at the weekend of both petrol and diesel, however, all seemed well.
I needed food, not fuel, so wasnt an issue for me.

Re: PANIC BUY!
Was at Tesco for Bread a couple of hours ago. Two cars in there garage and no great drama like the other day when it was all the OAP's filling up. Went through to Greenock on Saturday and almost every garage i passed was full with a large queue out into the streets. So glad i left city life and never to return.

Re: PANIC BUY!
Just got back from Croydon (which is always a relief) and I passed five garages, none had any fuel.
A bit of traffic in West Wickham as there was a bloody great van abandoned near some lights with a sign in the window, 'Out of fuel'.

No disiesel to be had anywhere up here, between Ashbourne and Chesterfield, and I've only got half a tank left so I'll be working from home for the rest of the week.
The only up side to this whole sorry shite show is if it carries on into next week I'll have a legitimate excuse to not got to a family wedding down south we've been trying to swerve out of.
Fingers crossed.

Re: PANIC BUY!
If you can find any fuel:
'Figures from the RAC show the average price of a litre of petrol rose from 135.87p on Friday to 136.59p on Sunday as motorists scrambled to fill up their vehicles, with the cost of petrol hitting the highest level since September 2013'.
Supply and demand, grand innit?

I don't think the increases are over yet.Mr. Dazzle wrote: ↑Mon Sep 27, 2021 5:41 pm I would honestly have expected more loading than that. Less than a penny.

Re: PANIC BUY!
One of the local garages in Ashbourne thought it would be a nifty idea to stick 20p on a litre on over the weekend. After a swift round of fucks from just about everyone on the local fb group they dropped that idea...Mr. Dazzle wrote: ↑Mon Sep 27, 2021 5:41 pm I would honestly have expected more loading than that. Re: PANIC BUY!
During the last fuel crisis, early 2000s, there was a greedy petrol station owner in a village somewhere . The locals blacklisted him, and he went bust a few months latermillemille wrote: ↑Mon Sep 27, 2021 6:06 pmOne of the local garages in Ashbourne thought it would be a nifty idea to stick 20p on a litre on over the weekend. Re: PANIC BUY!
Saw that the nearby Tesco had petrol today but no diesel, but we both have enough diesel to take us to the weekend. Bloody silly situation.

Bugger all fuel where we live, as soon as they take delivery the dickheads start queueing after other dickheads announce it on FB.
I've got to drain the lawnmower tomorrow to put a bit of fuel in the bike for the week

You'd hope so!
Just saw an interview on TV stating that a woman queued to force £1.69 worth of fuel in her car as was already nearly full! Crazy....

Re: PANIC BUY!
Panic buying sounds like it attracts such logical people after all.
I suspect said lady had some kind of anxiety disorder about running out of fuel or similar. Most of 'em are cvnts though.

Ridiculous queue in Stamford Hill/ Mare street Hackney .
Lot less traffic though .
CBR has full tank but it's at FWR having its down pipes cut open and re welded .
NC has 2 bars and that means either loads or not much ...
People being dickheads ... where's my little stud pony when you need him ?

In the east end lots of UBER etc - hybrid cars but still need fuel and it's surprising how far some people drive for work even in Greater London
