WSBK Jerez
If it's anything like last year Redding won two and Rea bagged the sprint race,so one would suspect the usual contenders again this year.
Ducati may be strong, the Kawasaki suffers in the heat and is slower than the Duc or the Yam. I reckon JR will have his work cut out and it may be damage limitation for team KR. I'm sadly wondering which lap will see Lowes fall off.
Honda seem to be improving,Bautista and Haslam are riding well,so may be in the mix, more than I can say for BMW. Sykes took a fair old rattle and I don't know if he'll be racing. Micky VDM just looks permanently pissed off.

Re: WSBK Jerez
I think JR is rattled so I wouldn’t be surprised if they have some issues and Toprak bags a few wins.

Re: WSBK Jerez
the 6 time world champion ? Hmmm not so sure.
As someone in commentary said. If Rea wins 6 or 7... it won't change a thing, it won't matter.
Toprak however has never won one, him winning this year will change his life.

Re: WSBK Jerez
Apparently Kenan Sufuoglu will be getting a ride this round. I wonder if the old dog is still up for it!

Re: WSBK Jerez
He's an odd one Sofuoglu.
He did very well in WorldSSP, but was shit in everything else (yes I know I'd have been even shitterer).
I always thought him a bit stroppy/cheaty.
I much prefer Toprak in regards to the Turks.

Re: WSBK Jerez
I'd assume so.I think he just went missing to the e-bikes for the last round. He finished 12th and lost the championship by 5 points.weeksy wrote: ↑Thu Sep 23, 2021 12:19 pmThat's ace... i bet the old boy still gets a wiggle on !!! Re: WSBK Jerez
I think so, he’s so used to winning now that imo he’s desperate to “not get beat” and is taking many more risks than I’ve ever seen him take. Unfortunate for him he has someone that can ride a bit better at the limit purely because of their own riding style.
Also, he’s still a twat so here’s hoping he gets pumped.

Re: WSBK Jerez
I am guilty of having seen Oncu through Red Bull Rookies and into Moto3 behaving exactly the same and pretty much stereotyped them all the same. I will have to take your word for it that Toprak is different as I don't watch too much WSBK or BSB stuff.Tricky wrote: ↑Thu Sep 23, 2021 12:47 pmAm with you on all that, I never liked Sofuoglo, I thought him a dirty/ overly angry and quite often dangerous fucker...KungFooBob wrote: ↑Thu Sep 23, 2021 12:23 pm He's an odd one Sofuoglu.

Re: WSBK Jerez
Some rider news
Eugene Laverty in for the injured Tom Sykes at SMR BMW.
Chad Davies announces his retirement effective from the end of this season. Always been there or there abouts in everything he has done and come across as a decent bloke

Re: WSBK Jerez
I wonder if he'll be employed by his brother in law (Michael Laverty) in the racing school he is founding to bring on British kids.
Or is Chad Chas Davies brother?

Re: WSBK Jerez
I guessed that, just no more WSB
That was my first thought as his brother in law Chaz would be a good asset to Michael Laverty. Saw a pic recently of a load of young guns in the Honda camp all aged about 15. Chaz alongside Casey Stoner, Leon Camier and a couple of Spanish past world champions as kids.

Re: WSBK Jerez
Casey Stoners book is a good read and you get a bit of an insight into Chaz’s younger days racing alongside him and against him……….

Kenan is riding free practise only just to promote the changes for next season and is doing the same next week.

Baz isn't doing terrible is he?
I wonder what he was doing before the call up from Ducati?

1s off in FP1 is certainly getting on with it considering he's not a regular....i saw his name on the list and thought "where's he been for the last 6 months"KungFooBob wrote: ↑Fri Sep 24, 2021 11:23 am Baz isn't doing terrible is he?
