PANIC BUY!

Post by KungFooBob »

Where's Pony?

I need him to tell me to panic buy petrol!

A colleague has just come into the office and said that two fuel stations he tried to use this morning had massive queues.

I'm almost feeling guilty about leaving the wife with the merc this morning with only 40 miles of range :)

Yep, two stations near me have been out of fuel since Weds- I managed to find one with diesel this morning (only the regular stuff mind) and the queues were pretty bad. Need to find one with low ethanol unleaded for the bikes as I’m down to fumes on three of them

I'm wondering if I should panic or not. I've got less than 40 miles in the car and less than 10 in the bike

I might panic buy some beer. The beer fridge is only half full.

I might have to use the Bullet for work, it easily does 100mpg.

I can drain all the other bikes tanks in to it, should keep me going for a month at least.

Similar situation here with the cars :( Wondering whether I need to conserve enough in one to get to the motorway services as they always seem to be kept stocked. Uggber.

I'm gonna use it as an excuse not to go anywhere but the pub

I filled the bike up Wed but didn't know about any shortages, the garage only had super petrol/diesel which was fine for me as wanted super for the 690.

I went passed the same place this morning and all pumps bar 2 were out. But I have some fuel in the bike. Not sure about my car as it's being repaired from someone hitting it, it'll probably be empty. Or the repairers are syphoning the tank

Same.
I filled up the bike locally on Monday, I filled up the car in Leicester on Wednesday, daughter got fuel on Tuesday in Kidder, wife hasn't mentioned any problems with filling up in Wales boyo.

Facebook local pages are full of pictures of long queues for petrol causing travel chaos. I'll go out first thing tomorrow.

I will say that my experience so far is that 50% of charging stations don’t work. Still waiting on getting a home charger

I'm down south in Roscommon at the moment. The supermarkets and petrol stations are fully stocked.

Going to petrol stations is so 20th century.

I park at home, open the Cafu App on my phone, book a fill-up and forget about it, I don't even have to go outside, I usually book it for after 10pm when I'll be asleep, the man comes, fills it up and usually I've forgotten until I'm driving and casually notice it's on full.

That sounds damned convenient. Do you have to leave your vehicle unlocked or do they have your keys?
