They are but the protestor bring interviewed hasn't insulated his house so it's about the government paying for it more than the actual insulation.

Stop the world right now - it's time to get off!!!
"It's not right to say that only women have a cervix" says Starmer in a row sparked by Rosie Duffield who came under fire after supporting online criticism of a tweet which referred to "individuals with a cervix" to be inclusive of trans men (where's the banging head on a brick wall smiley when you need it).
Ms Duffield later acknowledged "that some trans men have a cervix". Do they? Really? WTFF. How on earth are our biology teachers expected to teach reproduction now? Perhaps if they explain how it works for apes and then add "and it's the same for humans" and leg it out of the classroom they may get away with it.

And let's not forget that this week is Inclusion Week. I had a timely reminder from our Head if Diversity and Inclusion (who's email footer helpfully tells me 'She / her' are the preferred pronouns and only to reply if it fits with my flexible working hours) advising me that I may want to consider inviting all members of my team to meetings to promote a sense of inclusivity.

Re: In todays news...
If a woman transitions to become a man, the man may still have a cervix, if it hasn't been surgically removed. So that means it's not right to say it - if you accept that the individual is a man. Which is what the argument is really about.Trinity765 wrote: ↑Mon Sep 27, 2021 7:17 am Stop the world right now - it's time to get off!!!

The right answer would have been "No comment". Let other people put their effing feet in it, you can't defend a colleague who's let themselves be dragged into an argument that has no winners.Trinity765 wrote: ↑Mon Sep 27, 2021 7:17 am

He's the leader of the opposition and has ambitions to become Prime Minister, he can't get away with no comment.
Still, it's pushed his no 2 flinging insults about and refusing to apologise off the front page.
One day these people might just rise out of the playground.

Everyone else does - the "Boris waffle" is notorious.
As a straight person you can't have a stance on it which doesn't come out sounding like Monty Python.

Flinging insults about and refusing to apologise is what got Boris the top seat. Leading by example.

Same logic as saying that if a man's genitalia is chopped off he's/she's (?) entitled to call himself/herself (?) a woman because women don't have male genitalia either. I appreciate that some biological men may not have a prostate gland having had it removed (because of cancer perhaps) but I'd suggest that a person that didn't have a prostate gland, penis and testicles at birth is not a man (OK, there may be some poor soul that was born without all the bits. I recognise that but those poor souls do not make up the bulk of humanity). Likewise a bloke that hasn't got a full complement of eggs and doesn't menstruate is not and never will be a female.
I find it absolutely incredible that this very vocal minority of weirdos is making the Leader of Her Majesty's Opposition look like a complete and utter tool. Let's face it, they're not going to provide enough votes to get the woke tosser into No.10. He may understand the law but he sure as shit doesn't understand people.
Starmer has, like these shouty weirdos, a disorder.
