Dream garage bike No1 Yamaha MT-10

I keep watching videos of these and looking at pictures. I absolutely love these bikes! if my numbers roll in, one of these is first on the list! This is the preferred model!

Tricky one to answer, it's generally boiled down to cost and options of finance. I rode Trickys and loved it.

Just had a look at how much they cost, £13K is pricey, but not mega money, the looks really stop me buying it, but I think that if I liked the looks it would be a bit like the R1 I had, an absolutely brilliant bike but if you weren't using the performance it felt a bit boring because you were so far within it's limits.

The above does sound a lot "crap bikes are more fun than good bikes"

Also begs the question why did Tricky sell it? Mind you its all academic from my point of view. You blokes ride the tits off of bikes, but i'd just go around scaring myself on it, with 1st/2nd gear acceleration and one foot high wheelies!

If'n I had the money I'd sooner a nut n bolt resto-mod on an MT-01

That vid you posted best defines an MT-10- is what they do very best (well apart from look and sound seriously cool ! ) and I think it is in fact impossible to ride one without wheelying it

I don't have that now, but I'd have another, and as I have said more than once on here, if I were only allowed to own one bike , well I'd be seriously upset and in a quandary as I do love green-laning and not sure if I'd want to be without an off-roader, but assuming a tarmac-only bike than it would more than likely be an MT10-SP

I'm sure it goes well, but why make it look like that? Get an Italian in to design it.

The MV actually looks like was designed by one person though. It may be err....unique....but it does at least look like a design. The Yamaha just looks like it's got loads of bits bolted on.

It's the looks I like. I can't even tell most bikes apart,especially sportsbikes, they've all blurred into each other, whereas that, well that I could pick out across a crowded 1000 bike showroom!

You wanna try one... it's like a big polar bear.... it's nice, fluffy, friendly..... right up until it's not... then it's an animal who wants to eat raw flesh !!!

The 1290 Superduke is different in the context that it's just a rabid pitbull, no hidden bits, no niceness, just brutal.... but the MT-10 can sit there and be stroked gently.... or.... club baby seals to death
