Can you suggest another met place / parking area,
I am still okay fro the 16th , if anyone else is ... and up for a weekend met, where maybe more can going?
Obviously, as it now nearly Christmas, evening could be curtailed due to light being needed (ok with me as I ride through the winter in the evenings)
There are plenty of car parks on the hills. The other popular place to meet is the youth hostel car park on Holmbury Hill.

Do we want to park near a pub/refreshments?

I would have thought that may have benefits ...

Maybe as there is slim uptake we aim for a weekend late Sept or October ?

I would still be up to going on 16th if Beany / Ming are around - but remember I am a 61 year old puncture magnet ....

Sorry, I now can't do 16th , could possibly do 15th but will need to check with work.

First ride planned for this Thursday in Peaslake (Walking Bottom car park, near the Hurtwood Inn) at midday. No worries if it's too short notice, other rides will be arranged. :)

I am going to look at trying to arrange a w/e one next time - depending on uptake , may even try and make things regular, like

Looking at Oct for w/e one - and another Wed or Thursday ...

My pleasure. As I bored you and Mark with yesterday, always happy to ride around Peaslake, we barely scratched the surface. next time we can start on Pitch and head towards Winterfold.

No boredom from our side - and a follow up is a deffo. Just need to sort out dates. I was more concerned with me being slow
The ride yesterday - apart from the creaking, did suggest I may have gone too far with the -2 degree slackest. It could do with not having the wheelbase of a bus. All done this morning - and hopefully the creak sorted.
Will talk with Mark and come back with some dates.
As I said yesterday- the ground is a lot more forgiven that the South Downs.

Also let me know if you want to try a Diavel ….

Half term :)

I'll bring the crazy one ;) he'll be entertaining that's for sure.

Although i understand not everyone wants smallies there, so if it's an issue, it's no biggy.

In the great art of RTTL organisation - arrange it :king:
TBH - I am on call with the RNLI that week - so not allowed to wander out of pager distance. And as I am away the weekend and trading days I cannot make that week at Surrey Hills.

Happy to arrange any other week - or even a weekend staring AM 09.30 so that we could park up. It seems to be a fairly weather accepting terrain - unlike the South Downs.

It would be good to get a regular date and crowd out - but also just happy to meet Beany and a few others
