New bike time!

Post by Docca »

Hi

The pandemic and the Suez Canal led to some interesting distribution challenges, however yesterday this arrived:

Thanks to Weeksy for calmly not taking the piss when I struggled with some bits.

Also massive thanks to Bird, who I will say probably have the best customer experience I’ve ever had. Really great bunch.

Now to try and sort the shocks etc and take it for a spin. Very happy

Bird seem to have a great reputation - and put together bikes that work really well ( for anyone not score and called Weeksy anyway). Enjoy the new bike - it will feel long compared to anything else you may have had. I know they will have told you but mov the saddle more forward on the rails, to allow you to sit in the middle of the bike.

Ashamed to say first time out properly today. Roughly 30km.

Love the bike. Feels effortless to go anywhere.

Bombing down hill with loads of confidence and I don’t seem to suffer from the same skittish-ness the giant had.

Only niggle is the gearing. Occasionally jumps out of the selected gears and one of the gears names a fairly loud clicking noise when riding

Tighten up the barrel screw ... the cable will stretch as you use it

Where the gear cable goes into the roundy bit near the bars.
