Last Day of Secular Job
Finally downing tools after 9 years three months working for the charity. I go fulltime as a minister/priest/padre/pastor/nice bloke from next month.
Been a good trip, but I am glad to be finally doing what I want to and am called to do in life.
House on market from 6th July, so hoping for a fast sale at the right price.
Drinks on me! Free Palinka for all!

Congrats Mate. It's clear this is something you're really wanted and worked hard to get. I wish you every success in your calling (if that's the right word?).

Congratulations and all the very best Padre!
I hope it's a smooth transition and that your calling delivers everything you'd want it to.

All you have to deal with is a rampant virus, world financial collapse and the sixth extinction. You'll be bored by Friday.

Well, won’t wish you the traditional “good luck” with shamrock-style emoji, but will say to you huge respect, best wishes and hope (nay, expect) that the new job will be hugely fulfilling and rarely dull
I will have a glass of this lovely Segla Margaux I am currently drinking in your honour

Re: Last Day of Secular Job
As a young lad I spent as much time as possible at church. It grounded me at a time when I needed direction. I took Holy Communion, had a Sunday School class and served at the church. My best buddy was a curate who subsequently went to Salisbury theology college. He got killed in a car crash. Something I have never got over. I lost my religion and found science. That was 50 years ago.
To this day, I envy those of faith, but have made my choice and am okay with the outcome.
Good luck in your endeavours.
Keep posting your experiences in your new role. Make a difference every day.

On TRC the usual wankers would have laid into you and your faith.
