Re: TRACK WEAPON: TWO-STROKE KTM 300 FRAMER
Why is the engine mounted so high in the frame that they've had to put CF infills under the engine to hide the gap. The rear engine mounts looks like they're a brackets taken from the swingarm pivot?

So they had enough ground clearance for the exhaust ?KungFooBob wrote: ↑Wed Sep 01, 2021 8:17 am Why is the engine mounted so high in the frame that they've had to put CF infills under the engine to hide the gap. The rear engine mounts looks like they're a brackets taken from the swingarm pivot?

I like it, paintwork is a bit too black for my taste, but it looks like fun.
The engine is mounted that high to get the swingarm in the right place, the swingarm pivot runs through the crankcases.

but what's the bit that seems to link the pivot with one of the side cover bolts?

Looks like a fairly insubstantial bit of plastic doesn't it? I think Cheesy is right.

Looks like its built for a purpose and achieves that too. Wish someone would be a TDM type roadster out of one though.
