Spent 3 hours talking to the company travel agent making the bookings for a trip away. Most of the time was spent trying to find a suitable ferry. That's me going to Helensburgh via Ullapool. I might as well do the NC500 while I up there.

Next time bring cake.
So today.....I may, just MAY, that's what they said yesterday, I could, just might, get my bike back with a new cam chain tensioner fitted under warranty.

I have also just seen the ugliest bike that exists in the work's car park. I have already forgotten the name of it such was my trauma - I will go and take pictures. Despite the fact I'm on the T100 I still saved it's embarrassment and parked as far away as I possibly could from it. It was a purple yamaha with a long nose.

I bought lemon drizzle cake as its my favourite.

My eyes! I wonder if they do a seat lowering kit for really short-legged riders?

I'd ride that just for the shear perverseness of it. Love it, it's so ugly it's great :D

Whoever specced that colour obviously had a sense of humour too. Or was blind.

Got a bit of good news money wise.

My OH has got a third share in her late dad’s house that’s rented out.

Now probate is through the intention was to to sell it on the open market with all the expense/problems that that entails.

The next door neighbour has now offered to buy it complete with sitting tenant.

A good price with less fees than trying to sell it openly and the tenants get to stay in it. One of the reasons we’re pleased is the tenants have invested heavily in the house, replastering it, redecorating, new doors, landscaping the garden etc. Although that’s on them and business is business it’s nice to know they will still be able to live there after doing all that work off their own bat.

Today I have mainly been: at the dentist for the 6 monthly 'scrape at your teeth until blood flows', sorting a few financial things and posting gibberish on here. I'm currently preparing a 'specialité du maison' 'Tuna Surprise'.

(It's tuna bake really but was relabelled when I forgot to put the tuna in....and the time I forgot the pasta. Today's surprise is, it has everything in it that it should have).

PMSL. Today's was nearly the best Surprise. Went to get the bouillon powder out of the fridge and found myself at the hob with a tub of freshly ground coffee in my hand. :shifty:

My daughter moved into a brand new house yesterday. This morning she rings saying how do you do this, register for that etc. As she, my wife and I have Covid, I decided to drive up and sort everything out for her, well with her. Got her on electoral roll, ordered wheelie bins, changed utility suppliers, registered with the water company, sorted internet out and found a local place that does lovely wood fired pizza! Unexpectedly nice day. :)

It sounds so wrong but my wife made Courgette and Chocolate cake last week. My brain was saying yuk but it must have been one of the best cakes i had in years. I added a thick layer of caramel icing on the top what made it double lush

I woke up late (well late for me (7am)) after a few nights of not sleeping so well, my boy was getting ready for college and first day back riding his KTM to school, so I checked it over - 8psi in the front wheel and 16psi in the rear - it's only been stood for a month, my RE hadn't lost any.
Chain was showing signs of rust as well.

I could only find my stirrup pump, so that almost killed me because we were rushing and I didn't want him to be late (it was also 35c and high humidity). I didn't want him to be knackered and rush off to school sweating and out of breath and crash, so I pumped - blimey those things take it out of you, I actually saw stars.
After weeks of Guinness fuelled evenings and lazing around my aerobic fitness seems to have evaporated and I'm 4kg heavier.

I went for a swim to cool off, managed six lengths (of a 12m pool) and was buggered.

After all that time off I'm working flat out to catch up as well.

Picked up my bike yesterday. I'm off to Wales tomorrow, back Wednesday so have booked it back in for Thursday ;)

No time to clean it before I go so it still has Pembery track day weekend dirt on it :( I asked them when the last oil/filter change was and despite all the work they've carried out on it this year (clutch, alternator gasket, cams/cam basket, cam tensioner all at different times) they said February when it was serviced grrrrr. So I'll be doing that as soon as it's back.
