Pussy. I went to an indoor soft play centre with baby D last week.
All those 4 year olds were observing social distancing on the climbing frames, honest.

I'm interested to find out if this was just unlucky outdoorsy covid or if there was Essex heavy petting going on that facilitated it.
About the same again on the other side of the family, and a couple of others, so about 25-30 all told? Only one person on the other side of the family got infected, but they were out with us for quite a while, which is why I think it came from my Sister and her boyfriend, especially as he has been in and out of London hospitals for tests.
As much as I've liked you for 20 years, I'm surprised by the BBQ.Taipan wrote: ↑Tue Aug 31, 2021 10:26 pmAbout the same again on the other side of the family, and a couple of others, so about 25-30 all told? None taken. It wasn't my BBQ, although I'm quite happy to host one now, even after this. It was my Nephews house warming BBQ which, ironically, had been postponed for well over a year because of covid! It was only after the restrictions were lifted so it was perfectly legal and the older/vulnerable were double jabbed was it agreed by all to go ahead with it!Yorick wrote: ↑Tue Aug 31, 2021 11:39 pmAs much as I've liked you for 20 years, I'm surprised by the BBQ.Taipan wrote: ↑Tue Aug 31, 2021 10:26 pmAbout the same again on the other side of the family, and a couple of others, so about 25-30 all told? Over here it's party central, but we only have 8 which is the law.
And we only invite double jobbers.
You must love your sister, but surprised you invited her.
No offence intended
£100 vrs €60 mate !weeksy wrote: ↑Tue Aug 31, 2021 10:59 amFree to you isn't free to everyone....Jody wrote: ↑Tue Aug 31, 2021 10:54 amI spoke about this at the time, but just to remind you
PCR test in the UK in April £100- Drive 35 minutes to nearest place with appointments.
PCR test in France in April €60. But I never got sent a bill so the actual cost was €0 - Drive 10 minutes to most convenient place with appointments, 3 others with 15 minutes drive.
Antigen test in France last month €25, which will be fully reimbursed by the French version of NHS, so actual cost to me is €0
So no, Weeksy, France are not charging "plenty", but the UK are !
However, i don't think there's much point me discussing it more as people really are quite bitter in these threads.
Vs £10 that Potter says his government have capped it at.
Trouble is, the lateral flow tests only work when you're displaying symptoms! They're more confirmation than detection.
Do that 3 times with different sets of people and it's the same isn't it? Or even with the same people assuming they all see lots of other people at other times. Granted it's not in 1 sitting but meet 2-3 times in a week or so and it pretty much is. And double jabbed is looking like no barrier to catching it just hopefully keeping you out of hospital.
Is that the case? I've not seen that mentioned.
We have c. 50 people round ours for a piss up next Saturday. All consenting adults and I'm not going to start asking people if they've been jabbed or not before letting them in.
I never asked you to.
Unless you're on a ventilator and being fed with a spoon.
