Z650RS.... maybe?
Another shit teaser video.
but apparently it could potentially, possibly be for the Z650RS.
I like the 900, but it's a bit spendy, I reckon they'd sell shed loads of 650's if they make one.

Re: Z650RS.... maybe?
Would have been better with a bit more tease and a bit less shit.
Memo to CJ. Avoid the next Kawasaki video.

Ooh. Kawasaki are going to sell open face helmets. Nice.

Re: Z650RS.... maybe?
Kawasaki reckon the late 70's Z650 made 64bhp. The current Z650 (twin) makes 68bhp.
That 650 twin motor is a peach tho', far exceeds expectations for a shopping bike.

I'd be surprised if the original made 54bhp, they were no faster than an RD400KungFooBob wrote: ↑Mon Aug 30, 2021 4:41 pmKawasaki reckon the late 70's Z650 made 64bhp. The current Z650 (twin) makes 68bhp.

Re: Z650RS.... maybe?
I would like a mid sized retro, but if it looks like the 900 I won't be buying one, plus it's a twin, so it's going to be more Z750 twin than Z650

Re: Z650RS.... maybe?
So would I. The Z1 made around the 80bhp mark and it was much quicker than the Z650.Le_Fromage_Grande wrote: ↑Mon Aug 30, 2021 4:50 pm

Re: Z650RS.... maybe?
They were quick. In about 1978 I had a GT750 which was way faster than an RD400.Le_Fromage_Grande wrote: ↑Mon Aug 30, 2021 4:50 pmI'd be surprised if the original made 54bhp, they were no faster than an RD400KungFooBob wrote: ↑Mon Aug 30, 2021 4:41 pmKawasaki reckon the late 70's Z650 made 64bhp. I had a race with a new Z650 up a long hill and it was pulling away slightly. At the curve at top, he pulled away when my pegs dug in

Re: Z650RS.... maybe?
I dunno.
All these Z1 Z650 retro nostalgia trips such as this bike and the Z900RS just look like tarted up Zephyrs to me.
I want a 500 Mach 3 resurrection.
