In todays news...

Post by KungFooBob »

I've just been looking for the random news thread and can't find it, must have only been on TRC.

Anyways...

FFS you're 73 man. This is the type of thing my olds would end up doing. The older you get the more argumentative/vindictive you get?

Mr Goodenough. Sounds like a name from Monty Pythons.

Mr Smokestoomuch.

My Dad used to say people go one of two ways as they get older. They're either happy and grateful for every day. Or, they get more and more miserable and bitter. I think he may have had a point! I can certainly see which camp Mr Goodenough is in!

I understand where's he's coming from. My new neighbour decided the fence on driveway between us needed extending, so he's planted 3 posts to extended the fence line. The fence is mine and he's put 3 posts on my drive, then his old man comes round and paints my fence post to blend in with the new fence I didn't ask for. If I can be arsed I'll post some pics of his handywork.

I'm up for sale so getting into a dispute isn't worth it. The day I move the last thing I do will be to run my chainsaw across his fence.

Lorry drivers are in short supply because they are treated like shit. For a lot of them working hours are long and the pay is crap. The shortage of drivers is nowhere near as bad as it should be. Until they start getting treated properly they should all pack it in.

If there are shortages on the shop shelves then that's going to be a good thing if it means drivers get a better deal.

There's also the vicious circle created by the insurance industry and hauliers themselves, it's difficult for a new driver to find a job unless they have two years experience.

Back to random news:

Bare bottom monkey costume at childrens event

Now, I'm not too sure why they focus the title on the monkey's bottom (which is pretty standard for a monkey suit I think) rather than his tackle swinging away there.
