Is it more about the person who is inexplicably drawn to introducing the conversational gambit?

their assigned sex is different from the gender they identify with – this is known as gender dysphoria (GD). There is some evidence to show a link between gender dysphoria and autism, and that autistic people may be more likely than other people to have gender dysphoria. However there is little evidence about the reason(s) why, and some recent research suggests the link between autism and gender dysphoria is not so clear.
https://www.spectrumnews.org/news/large ... diversity/
People who do not identify with the sex they were assigned at birth are three to six times as likely to be autistic as cisgender people are, according to the largest study yet to examine the connection1.
Autistic people are more likely than neurotypical people to be gender diverse, several studies show, and gender-diverse people are more likely to have autism than are cisgender people2,3.

I care about people, but when a 50 year old man wants to wear a dress to get into the toilets where some 12 year old girls are, that's a bit weird. It's a perverts charter, all this shit.Bike Breaker wrote: ↑Mon Feb 13, 2023 2:54 pmDo you care about all men who don't "pretend to be women" or are you selective? I'm not judging you or trying to catch you out, it's just that I try to think of all people as people. Normally, my attitude towards them changes because of what they do, not what* they are. Of course, a beautiful, intellingent, young woman with a wonderful personality is crossed off my list instantly.

Re: In todays news...
Lets get real. Gays/lesbians have always existed, transvestites have always existed too, only the medical processes have improved.
However the numbers of gays/lesbians/transvestites seems to have gone through the roof in the last 10 year, and IMO it's not just that they are now tolerated much better by society.
Mental health problems have also existed since time began, again the treatment and social acceptance has improved considerably too. Again the last 10 years have seen massive increases, particularly amongst young people.
Correlation? Or even cause and effect? I don't know, but IMO someone should be putting 2 and 2 together and researching if the answer really is 4.

I’m not convinced there are increasing numbers of gay men or lesbians. They don’t need particular medical processes.Cousin Jack wrote: ↑Tue Feb 14, 2023 3:19 pm Lets get real. Gays/lesbians have always existed, transvestites have always existed too, only the medical processes have improved.

The surgery and medication sometimes given to “trans” patients is pretty disastrous.
Re: In todays news...
Yes, lets get real. Gays never wanted to get into the girls changing rooms, lesbians didn't want to get into the boys changing rooms, neither did transvestites, they've always been tolerated, I can't think of once where they wanted to interfere with others.Cousin Jack wrote: ↑Tue Feb 14, 2023 3:19 pm Lets get real. But the issue is now, all you need to do is identify as female, then off you go to prey on the young and vulnerable. Gays and lesbians never did that.

Pretty sure the majority of crimes of that ilk are committed by straight acting pillars of society. They don't need to put on an unconvincing disguise.
Re: In todays news...
100% spot on. Exactly my point. ANYONE can just identify as something they most certainly are not.
So now they have even easier access.

Mmmm Not sure either of them did much wrong. The driver is allowed to make the turn, but arguably should have seen the cyclist... but it's not like the cyclist couldn't have seen the car indicate. Move on, accept the situation, get to work safely.Ant wrote: ↑Wed Feb 15, 2023 8:39 am Jeremy Vine gets the floor wiped with him after speeding up to confront a car driver. Tons of room, no issue.
