Googled it, found this.

Not sure which part this is supposed to aid in the whole affair.

Apart from this sounding as futile as the police using mediums I really loved the press picture.

The best bit of that is there is clearly rain in the right of the picture so they are seeding clouds that are already raining lol

A man dressed as an eight foot tall ostrich with a towering bird neck strapped to his head was successfully pinned down with a fishing net after running amok in a Thailand zoo this week.

The staff member was taking part in a training drill designed to ensure the animal was unable to escape its enclosure,

Sounds like the bass section tuning up. Oddly unsettling.

Maybe I'm slipping into dementia but I'm getting confused again.

In the blurb for that video they mention a galaxy cluster having so much noise etc but the picture is not of a galaxy cluster. It's some nebulosity and pretty much all nebulosity that can be seen from earth is in our own galaxy, not some other fucker's galaxy cluster. There's not necessarily a black hole at the centre of that nebula either (there's a couple of similar ones and I haven't identified that one precisely yet), it's probably a supernova remnant so I think they were having difficulty in finding a suitable picture and plumped for something that most people will just find pretty.

Cosmic background radiation, basically noise from space, was discovered (accidently!) back in 1965 or so.

I've heard this story about noise from black holes before...something like B flat 400 octaves below middle C...

I believe that animation is supposed to be representing an active galaxy with a SMB at its centre emitting jets. Artist's impression like, of course.

Pity they didn't use a picture of a galaxy then.

Aren't most galaxies active? How would we know they were inactive? :D

Active as in they emit emits loads of electromagnetic radiation which isn't attributed to stars. Generally thought to come from super massive black holes at their centre.

Bit of a paradox in that black holes are actually some of the brightest things in the sky.

I probably need to hold off a bit from commenting before doing some detective work. It would appear to be the Perseus Cluster of galaxies and probably an XRay image.

It looked very similar to the Rosette Nebula (NGC 2237) which prompted me to suggest they'd just used a photo of a nebula. I'm wrong but I won't be going looking for the Perseus Cluster any time soon, it's tiny (well it's actually fuckin' enormous) from here on earth looking up and the brightest thing in it is NGC 1275 and my equipment ain't gonna let me see that very well at all!
