That is some battery and cable to the massive rear hub.

Small point: nice arty background to the Kwak. But why spoil it with reflections?
Even bland can be a type of character

This immaculate BSA Catalina scrambler was at last nights Bike meet.

I'd never seen one before & the Brit Bike boys answered my questions. This one came back from the states as a fully faired road racer before being rebuilt, lovely looking bike.

Apparently so.It's almost but not 100% original & had the DBD34 on the crankcase. They were discussing what crank was in it as appeared to spin up a bit quicker than the standard one. They were talking about someone who rebuilds them with a lighter flywheel & Jawa speedway bike crank pin.
They seemed to know their Brit bikes.

Moriwaki's XSR GP - looks nicer to me than the stock bikes, or any of Yamaha's retro paint jobs:

I think the second one might be a Young Machine CGI.

The whole problem with the XSR is that this just looks better

I don't think it does. The back end and exhaust looks like it's off a bigger bike. Hideous!

Whereas this is gorgeous. If I could ride one, i'd own one in a heartbeat and I don't even like sports bikes!

Over the last year or so,our mate Barry has owned a Harley,Ducati Monster,RE Continental,RE Himalayan 450,Triumph Scrambler,Kawa 650 Versys,1250 Bandit & no doubt I've missed 1 or 2, now,he's bought this MZ Mastiff

It's the first time I've seen one,I was riding down the back lanes & the canal swing bridge was shut whilst a narrow boat went through. My mate was in the queue so we moved out of the queue & had a good chat for half an hour.He bought it for £1300 from FB marketplace & he's finally got a bike that he likes,he can't believe that after all the bikes & money he's gone through a £1300 bike from FB Marketplace is the one that he likes.
I've got first dibs if he sells it :D ..

It's no Baghira (tho it does have the high level front mudguard).

He said that it should have a low front mudguard & someone had fitted the high level mudguard. He reckons that he can get most parts, but the plastics are unobtinium.

Out with a friend today and we stopped by the BMW dealer. I think it looks lovely.

Looks a bit less lardy than it does in the BMW press shots.

I like that.

I can see why they've put holes in the front mudguard but it doesn't help the mudguarding properties much!

Wife says 'they call that a pillion seat these days do they?'

Other than that.

Edit: Oh...and...needs bush guards.

Pillion comfort aside the seat looks a lot nicer than I'd thought. Was just speccing one up on the motorrad site and it looks completely different - just smoooth...

Surprised to see that gold rims are only a £50 option - maybe they missed a zero?
