An old sometime biking buddy of mine has been a covid denier and anti-vaxer from the very outset and the lockdowns really impacted on his perhaps already delicate mental state. He was prone to outbursts in the street, railing against folk with masks and the whole social distancing bit.
I haven't seen him about for a few weeks and his wife stopped me today to say he'd tested positive and while he appeared to be getting better,he's taken a downturn and is in a coma in intensive care. The only hospital available was 70 miles away in Coleraine.
He'll not get much sympathy from most folk, but I'm personally sad he's having to learn the hard way.
It is sad. Yes, some anti vaxxers deserve at least a smack in the head. But then there are people that are struggling in life in general and all the things to do with Covid have made that worse
Hope he survives the coma and mentally survives xx
Life is for living. Buy the shoes. Eat the cake. Ride the bikes. Just, ride the bikes!!
I'm on local FB group and often get anti vax nutters moaning. Got one today who was way off the scale. Had a look at her profile and she's a complete cabbage. These are just 2 of dozens of stuff she puts up and other muppets agree

Well, if the head of Covid taskforce was up for a beer in lockdown, then I reckon I'm about on the mark when I say that nobody, for all their protestations, adhered 100% to the overly-restrictive rules.

Good luck, two of my colleagues are off/lateral flow testing as their plague pits have brought Auntie COVID home.
"Of all the stories you told me, which ones were true and which ones weren't?"
"My dear Doctor, they're all true."
"Even the lies?"
"Especially the lies."

I'm going to a germ warfare convention tomorrow. AKA kids Party. Already been two cases of Covid amongst this group of kids too.
Good luck. It was a wedding that did for us just before Christmas.

Dodged this bullet.
"How?" you ask. Baby D tested postivie on an LFT before we went
We all had covid in Dec. This morning my daughter tested positive on an LFT. FFS. Hoping it's a false positive but more time out of school till we get the PCR back.
