She took a pace backwards.

Apparently he could have made her pregnant!
Maybe she thought two jabs made him super virile and she had to step away before he became irresistible?

There'll be folk like me who'll pass her in the street and my booster will set her up with quads before she knows.

Was due to go to visit the land of Cheese-Eating-Surrender-Monkeys on Saturday, but changed our plans to have a few days in Blighty, visiting 'The North', as I believe it's called.

I was thinking we should arrange dinghy crossings of the channel to see if the French are as poor at incoming as they are at outgoing.

You mean like doing the little boat thing in the opposite direction but not have to go to Dunkirk? Yeah, why not, I'll go for St Malo, really nice seafood this time of year. :)

Eurostar, innit.

Deferred the trip til April. Hopefully the world will be on a steadier footing by then.
Ditto Bologna on the 4 Jan, but I'll just have to write those flights off. Ryanair for ya.

Can’t help thinking that’s just a little political on macron’s part. It’s as rife there as it is here. They test half as many people and don’t sequence as many as we do to identify the strain.

We are planning for a 3 week lockdown at work starting 5th January.

I just don’t know if we’ll get the same investment in adhering as before.

Your date of 5th January is consistent with what some of stepson's pals who work in govt depts are saying that the leak down from Cobra meetings is 5th January.

Edit: Also heard that Surrey Constabulary in Guildford have been given the same date but if the 'spike is really bad' will be brought forward to 1st January.

We've decided to cancel our Caribbean holiday, too much could go wrong.

Yeah, they've happily taken 600 quid of our money. Its pointless even considering paying for a date change in the current climate.

Airlines are ruthless and the airports are the same, they've lost so much money that there is no mercy.
I do get that, but Ryanair wanted 180 quid in admin fees to change the dates, on top of any difference in price. Given the flights were c. £270 it's not worth it. Add in the £360 in testing that we would have had to fork out for 3 nights in Italy, with the hassle of the new 'Super Green Pass' out there had we decided to go regardless....

Cheaper to walk away.

After my booster jab yesterday I feel shite. On the sofa with duvet over me.
Cold and achey muscles.

Google says it's normal for 2 or 3 days.

Lots of paracetamol and ibuprofen sorted me out.
Still achey but no shitty feeling or shivering.

Just been announced that masks have become compulsory outside from tomorrow. Other stuff as well, but can't find it yet

Not too chuffed, but I bet our Covid figures are lower than UK.
