Re: Covid restrictions - are you adhering or not?
I follow it to the letter. But I am a key worker, so I follow it accordingly and have to be careful as my role puts me in contact with a wide scope of vulnerable people. My wife is a teacher and daughter goes to sixth form. Son is home from university. We have enough exposure to risk, so it would be stupid not to adhere...

One who forgives an affront fosters friendship, but one who dwells on disputes will alienate a friend.

Re: Covid restrictions - are you adhering or not?
As far as I possibly can, yes.
I'm classed as a key worker (Railway) so hard to not be close to other people however we do have to wear masks at all times unless at our desk. My elderly mum also needs me to pop over once every couple of weeks to help with a few bits but unfortunately no one else local enough to help.
My son is at uni so haven't had a huge amount of time with him, step kids are both in senior school and have both been subject to quarantine a few times now.
I agree with lockdown and quarantine but also life has to go on....

Re: Covid restrictions - are you adhering or not?
A work colleague of Mrs.Skub's has a Covid experience which underlines the very real human cost behind the figures. In November she lost her mother to the virus, this month she lost her brother,a young, fit rugby player, the type everyone says would shake it off like a head cold.
Her father remains in ICU fighting his own battle.
Despite all the debate about mixed messages and the right way to proceed,we as individuals simply don't know how this virus will impact on anyone, could be mild symptoms or fatal. Because of this uncertainty I try extra hard not to be a spreader and really it's such a small inconvenience when you consider the life changing consequences to the above family.

This government are toxic and useless and their is enormous ambiguity regarding the rules and tiers etc.
People are binary. On or off. 1, 2 or even 3 doesn’t work.
I’m in a shop almost every day. I’ve been in the office twice this week and on a ward 1 day.

That’s true, but I don’t see a realistic alternative.

Tiers 1, 2, and 3 will be allowed to mix households on Christmas day only.

Hertfordshire tier 4 now. Thats Christmas fucked.
2020 can officially do one now. As can 2021 cos that'll be not much better imo despite vaccines.

Do Findus still do those frozen turkey dinners for one...?
Actually, I stood outside Pret eating one of their Christmas sandwiches in the pissing rain yesterday (under pain of death we were told we couldn't stand by the doorway), and to be honest, it was ok. Three if them in the fridge and Chez Gremlin is set for [s]big[/s] normal day...
