ftfy?
No you didn't, you proved my point. The fact is that Fauci denied any of the money he sent to Wuhan was used for gain of function etc & his own emails contradict this. That's nothing to do with Fox, that's to do with MSM not reporting that part of his emails at all.

You may well be right, although the reporting over here (not MSM) is saying that both sides 'over there' are looking for stuff to support their views, and that it's actually where, as evidence emerged, he changed his beliefs and statements.

You're missing the big red flag here. Fauci was involved with funding gain of function research at the Wuhan Lab (which he has repeatedly denied, under oath). Basically the US was funding the place where the virus *may* have originated.. so they can't come out & say "It definitely came from the lab" & the whole wet market claim was a CYA exercise.

The US has never denied that it was involved in the indirect funding of the lab at Wuhan. I’m not sure why it’s suddenly news now. The ‘gain of function’ thing is a red herring; it’s a level 4 lab, they have a virus to play with. Of course they are going to fuck around with it.

Correct, they have admitted there was *indirect* US funding...
....with Fauci flat out denying it was used for gain of function research & now it's come out that he's known all along that's exactly what it was used for. He lied repeatedly under oath about it. That's why it's suddenly news now.

It's news on your side of the pond, not ours. So bluntly, keep your Merkan speak your side of the pond and quit polluting threads like this with your half baked parochial rants. Thanks. :)

"Fucking foreigners" are welcome, but TBH most users have limited interest in matters American. You don't like Democrats, you don't like Dr Fauci, we get that. Can we move on?

Of course we can... it seems that some people can't. I don't make en effort to go out of my way to make "I don't like this thread, bugger off" comments & neither do the vast majority of others here.
OTOH, several people on here & living in the UK will post their support of him & whatever the hell he comes out with today (which will be different than what he said yesterday). It comes across as "We don't live there, and support him.. but people who actually live in the US can't criticize him".

Which is more than a bit bizarre.

However, with that said: There are no right or wrong opinions, there are merely ones you agree with & ones you disagree with.

The entire US is pretty much *back to normal*... except Califailure... which has the lowest infection rates in the US... but is acting as though it has the highest.
Might there be some corellation between these two facts?

You would think so. The latest idea is to have everyone in a location (store, business, bar, restaurant, sports stadium etc) wear a mask if ONE person isn't vaccinated.. until some time next year. It's not going over too well. This came from Cal/OSHA (State Elf & Safety). Governor Newsolini is expected to veto the idea as it will severely impact his fight against being recalled & given the bums rush. The vote on that is expected in a few months.

Today we had him on telly picking the winners of the $50K prizes for getting vaccinated. People aren't too happy with the amount of money* being used for this stunt & there's been more than a few suggestions that he FO & get a new career as a TV game show host. It was all very Nicolas Parsons

*Lots of prizes, most are $50k & I think there's ten for $1.5M each.

Lockdowns were imposed to try to suppress/flatten infection curves in order to prevent NHS/medical services being overwhelmed by peak demand. One self evident byproduct of that strategy was to increase unemployment, which is why furlough schemes were implemented.

Exactly what mortality and unemployment rates would have been without lockdowns is the fodder of speculation.
