Stick to your guns ZRX!
There's been a relaxation of the restrictions here. I don't know them all as I never really got to grips with all of the restrictions anyway but Fahrettin Koca, the health minister has advised us that we can go out without a mask on but must wear one when within 2 metres of another person or go into shops etc. As that's pretty much what I've been doing for more than a year I guess I'm now a good lad!
Were still locked down at weekends though - except we're not. I might go out shortly as I'm allowed to go out for essential items. Most people just buy a loaf of bread (as bread is defined in the rules as essential) and then go for a wander, do their daily exercise walk, whatever. If I go to visit anyone I might buy a loaf but the policing of the lockdown is not heavy because . . . the lockdown isn't really a lockdown, is it.
I'm pretty much pissed off with the whole Covid thing now (I think I was saying that a year ago ). At least the pool is up and running this year so the weekend non lockdown isn't so depressing.
Keep taking the pills guys, you know it makes sense. I just hope you don't get some other serious illness while your protecting yourselves from Covid.

So you have to wear a mask at all times but you only do so if people are in sight of you? So you aren't following the rules.Noggin wrote: ↑Fri May 28, 2021 9:29 pm
I really fail to understand the issue. You might feel he's a jobsworth etc etc etc but there are guidelines that say you are ''safer" without a mask outside - not SAFE
Surely, in a queue of people, it's no hardship to put a mask on a few minutes early?
In my area we have to wear a mask outside at all times. So yes, I carry mine in resort because I rarely actually see another human at the mo. But if there are people near (well, ok, in sight of) me, then I put it on.

Exactly. If people are in sight, not just close, I put the mask back on. We are 2000m up with hardly anyone in the village.slowsider wrote: ↑Sat May 29, 2021 10:15 amSo you have to wear a mask at all times but you only do so if people are in sight of you? In the valley, I wear it all the time I’m not in my car or sat drinking and eating - because I don’t want to risk being the person that could pass it on outside of that food and drink situation (apparently you can still be a carrier even if you have been vaccinated - TBF, I have so little contact with other humans at the mo the chances are very very remote!!)
The issue I have with ZRX is that he was politely requested to wear a mask and resorted to belittling the minimum wage guy who asked him to wear it. I don’t understand the need
We are all ‘over it’. I’m sat on a terrace with the tables (not quite) a mètre apart. Because everyone here is drinking or eating, no one is wearing masks - according to the rules. But as we get up to walk around/leave, the masks go back on. No it doesn’t make sense to me but I’m not gonna spazz out because of it!!

Well quite.
Minimum wage guy probably has no say in the matter, he's just doing what his boss tells him to do. Having a go at a guy who's just trying to do - and hence keep - his job just makes you a Karen. Or whatever the male equivalent is.

Oooo. Linky?? That could be just the thing for me
Because I do wear the mask all the time when not in resort I do often get in the car and only realise a few kms after starting to drive!!! Must look even more special to anyone that sees!

I was told to conform to a "requirement" that doesn't exist.
Had a go at the guy? Believe me, I was in no way having a go at (or belittling) the guy. I'd have said something along the lines of "Go fuck yourself" & left it at that.Mr. Dazzle wrote: ↑Sat May 29, 2021 12:01 pm Minimum wage guy probably has no say in the matter, he's just doing what his boss tells him to do. I'm actually covered by at least three* ADA exemptions from wearing a mask at ANY time, so if I wanted to be an ass about I could quite easily (& legally) tell the mask nazi's to get fucked.
*One of which is diminished lung function from previously having pneumonia.

Half the shops I've been in the past couple of days have removed the plexi... & since they installed the stuff I've had to stand to the side of it so I can hear the person standing behind it, so it's served no fucking purpose at all when it comes to preventing covid spread. which is what happened at AAA on Thursday while I got my new tags.

Fauci just got dropped in the shit. Bunch of emails released that show he lied to the public & also lied under oath to Congress etc.

There’s nothing on any sensible news as yet that would indicate that?

You best keep drinking the Koolaid then.... They were released under a FOIA request & make Fauci look like a bit of a prick so unlikely to see them on the BBC CNN etc.. or at least the same emails that other stations are showing.

It is on the BBC but hardly a massive exposé. It reminds me of Cummings attempts to get revenge here.
BBC News - Why are people talking about Dr Anthony Fauci's emails?

Nope, still not seeing it. Either my Google fu is broken or you’ve been looking in some odd places. You can point me in the right direction if you like?

Together with lack of site visits, given Trump's short attention span and need for instant gratification I suspect that he simply got bored with his blog.wheelnut wrote: ↑Thu Jun 03, 2021 7:04 amNope, still not seeing it. Lied about the original of the virus, lied about funding the lab in Wuhan, actually told the truth about masks & then lied about them..wheelnut wrote: ↑Thu Jun 03, 2021 7:04 amNope, still not seeing it. As for Trump's blog thing, it's hardly surprising. I hardly ever listened to him when he was POTUS & don't use Twitter etc, not going to start now.

Because you've been brainwashed by MSM & are unable to even comprehend a differing point of view. Cognitive dissonance.
