There has finally been a deal, sort of, between the EU Commission and the European Parliament which is a necessary precursor to a deal with the UK.

https://www.politico.eu/article/negotia ... tificates/
Parliament and Council negotiators reached a deal Thursday to set up EU-wide COVID certificates — a crucial step to allowing people to travel more freely around the EU.

The plan is to use the passes — in the form of a QR code in a paper or a digital format — to certify that travelers got jabbed or tested, or have antibodies from a previous infection; the certificates are supposed to be in use by July 1.

UK citizens can, if they wish, install the NHS app. If they do, it will soon display their vaccination details.

Individual governments will have to go their own way because summer will certainly be over before any EU wide system can be put in place. If it ever is. On balance, my betting is that the UK and French governments will put a system in place by mid June.

From 17 May 2021, patients in England who have had a full course of the COVID-19 vaccine can demonstrate their COVID-19 vaccination status for international travel.

I'm pretty sure mine doesn't have QR codes on :( :( Will dig them out tomorrow and check but I'm pretty sure they don't :( :( I've read that there is a plan to deal with those without a QR code, just haven't see what it is yet!!

Went to AAA to renew the tags on the ZRX this morning. There's a line outside a building (was 3rd in line).. & then a line inside the building (same 3 people in front of me).
When I get to the front of the outside line by the door I get:
Drone: Do you have a mask?
Me: Right here (pulls it out of my pocket)
Drone: Can you put in on please?
Me: I'm outside.
Drone: We have cameras
Me: Congratulations, I have a couple myself.
Drone: So can you put the mask on please?
Me: I'll put it on when I go inside
Drone gives me the stink eye, guy behind me in line takes his mask off.

There is ZERO requirement to wear a mask outside in ANY part of the US.

I think I'd have done the same with a little Hitler making up their own rules.

Little hitler or a bloke working for £8 an hour and being told, "right, this is what you need to do" by some fella who's earning about £2 more... and being told from above "they need to do...."

Look at some of our guys doing this sort of job even on this forum, getting paid buttons/nothing just to help out the world, the people... Then some arsehole comes along after they've been standing there trying to help for the last 8 hours and acts like a complete numpty.

No, it means I don't have to put up with assholes who make up their own rules regarding covid & ignore all Fed, State & county rules/guidelines.
I was the one actually complying with the guidelines. There are ZERO requirements to wear a mask outside anywhere in the US. I was outside & this twat was trying to enforce inside rules outside a building. They can go fuck themselves.

So this is where we are now... getting criticized for actually being in compliance with the rules when it comes to NOT wearing a mask. I'm fucked if I'm going to be told to wear a fucking mask where one isn't required by some fucking Hitler jobsworth.

hth :)

Unless the requirement is 'must not wear', then it's not the same as:

Pedant ;)
It's fairly simple: If I'm not required to wear one, I'm not going to. They can fuck right off with their social conditioning bullshit. It's not some "dress code" :)
"I'm telling you there is a requirement to wear a mask outside"
You're lying to justify standing there like a fucking plum.

In hindsight, I should have pointed out that I'm hearing impaired & told her to take her mask off so I can lip read... especially as I forgot my ear trumpet yesterday.

There's no requirement to wear a life jacket in a cruise ship, but you'd be fucked if you fall over the side.

You could simply gave been nice, polite and helpful for 5 minutes instead of being bitter and angry for no other reason than to prove your superiority.

Seems very very petty to me.
