There will be no end to this shit until common sense prevails over greed

we need to just carry on as normal
Can you see the contradiction there?
Nope, help me by explaining without being patronising.

Common sense will prevail when everyone stops being fucking sheep, does that help?

You lot seem to have 100% faith in our Government and the corrupt people that support them, in my eyes, and many others away from a posh biker forum this isn't the case.

Everyone seems to just shoot your opinion down in flames on here (as always i suppose) if you are not part of the 'tory brigade' and do not follow of believe what some random internet link states.

I honestly think if Boris told us all to jump off a cliff 75% of the country would go do it without questioning it at all whilst having the conversation with their other dumb sheep friend which would go like..... "hey cleetus, Boris says we can jump off the cliff to cure the virus" "hu hu, yeah dwayne its great, it seems strange but he must be doing it for the betterment of the country" "your right dwayne, i mean even the government website says so, and the big companies that are all in this together are telling us we should do it also so how can we be wrong to follow what he asks"........ :?

This Vaccine will give a few more confidence in coming out of their burrows, but once the spread continues, and it will, soon people will just say no and carry on as normal, what other solution is there?

mate you couldn't be more wrong. If it were labour in government the advice wouldn't change, we'd all still be doing the masks, the isolation, the bubbles, the vaccine etc, it'd all be exactly the same... Why, because it's the way to fight the virus. I can't explain enough how irrelevant the person in charge is to me, i don't care in the slightest who it is or what party they represent.

It's not a question of having faith in them, but as they're what we have, what alternative are you suggesting ?

"carry on as normal" stupidest fucking idea i've ever heard, i mean properly properly fucking daft. You only need to look at places like Italy, where the numbers are flying up again to see that any relaxation in the plans will bring more deaths.

My big company is paying £1.9m a month for our office space, of which we have 3 staff in currently LOL. Their advice is "stay at home till at least May" so the big companies are not doing nothing and it's not all about the money.

The solution, well, for me, that is, be sensible, take precuations, don't take risks and chances. In reality that means i've told my riding mates i'm not out for our Xmas ride this weekend as there's too many and the space they were going to eat in was too enclosed for me, so not worth the risk.

Carry on as normal, you crack on fella and watch your friends and loved ones die.

I think its obvious the government is all about greed, that's why they've racked up the most debt since WW2 and slashed their own tax incomes by making everyone stop work.

Obvious innit. You'd have to be a sheep to think otherwise.

Had an interesting conversation tonight on the FB group for ex pat Brits in Calizuela. There's been an issue since the start of all this that Ca wasn't reporting recovery numbers, but most other States were.
The admin of this group claims to be the "Infection Prevention Director for the 2nd largest county hospitals in CA" I asked why recovery numbers weren't reported. There followed a bunch of BS where she refused to answer the question, said "recovery numbers are insignificant" & not worth talking about.
As Infection Prevention Director for the 2nd largest county hospitals in CA I think I am a little more qualified to know what's really going on, versus your biased opinion based on the media you choose to follow. 1) Why are you focused on who is recovered? How would you like to define "recovered"? Being as you don't seem to work in epidemology/ public health/ infection prevention I would suggest you don't know what you are talking about! 20% of patients post COVID have depression/mental health diagnosis, 10% are called long haulers, and have significant symptoms - up to 6 months or longer post COVID. Yes I know this - we have a chronic COVID clinic to follow these patients. We have stats - what do you have? Secondly, yes the ICUs are FULL. Some COVID patients some regular non COVID patients. What does is it matter. If you should need an ICU bed after a car accident or a stroke there wll not be one - what will matter then? No ICU bed for you, or will you focus on the fact you don't have recovery numbers? Lastly. HCWs are burning out, related to the surge (3 times as many cases as we have ever seen before). I have personally worked 60-90 hours since March, and yet if you were sick you'd expect us to take care of you depsite lack of beds and burnt out HCWs.
Well I'd have some fucking stats if you'd fucking report them...

The number of patients with Covid in ICU's are filling about 10% of the beds...The other 90% is "everything else"

She finally said
Unfortunately the pandemic has been politicized and Republican states, who want to downplay the virus may have chosen to point out the number of recovered COVID positive cases. I explained in my previous point why this is difficult to do and why it is somewhat meaningless. The fact is 308K plus people have died in the USA. There is nothing more to say
& then she turned off further commenting. WT actual F?

This comes the same week where Nero Newsolini has pretty much become a dictator & is endlessly talking about how we have a shortage of ICU beds & nurses... despite the fucker knowing for months that this surge was coming & doing the fat end of sweet fuck all about it...
Then this week he unveiled his plan to deal with a shortage of ICU beds & nurses.
He ordered 5000 bodybags & set up dozens of temporary morgues... I shit you not.
