Great footage from Groper Joe Biden today at a *rally* in a corn field with no members of the public there, just a few reporters.. & Biden blathering away while the biggest fucking cockroach crawls along his shoulder & tried to burrow into his ear..

Will he be awarded the 'Bay of Cockroaches' medal?

Donald Trump repeats claims he earlier made online, boasting of winning the 'Bay of Pigs Award' – an honour that doesn't exist.

Which Trump could put with his Michigan' "Man of the Year" which no-one can find evidence for.

I think Trump is right this time!

US President Donald Trump has dismissed concerns over climate change on a visit to fire-ravaged California, telling an official "I don't think science knows" about global warming.
"It'll start getting cooler, you just watch," Mr Trump said after he was urged not to "ignore the science".
Winter is only 3 months or so away so just watch, it'll get cooler and Trump will take the credit. He knows, yanno! :D

Remember at the old place when I said I'd be surprised if VW were the only OEM using cheat devices?

He's doing well. Although, TBH, he probably doesn't do all of his own campaign artwork.

Remember at the old place (in the "Naughty Volkswagon!" thread) that I said that Bosch were almost certainly prime movers in the cheating and therefore any other auto company using Bosch ECUs would be very likely be complicit?

Many other European car companies also use Bosch ECUs. Plenty more to come ...

Well they all get very similar emissions performance, European or otherwise.

VW had to cheat to get that performance. So did Mercedes is seems.

Draw your own conclusions :D

Lexicographers of the future will love him.

Mr Trump, who is seeking re-election, repeated his earlier claim that the virus would disappear on its own because people would "develop... herd mentality"

Although paying $1.5 billion makes a big enough statement all by itself.

The idiot that gave a multi-million pound contract to a ferry company with no ferries (and no chance of ever getting any ferries) has been given a £100,000 job advising ferry ports. Chris Grayling to advise ports operator in £100,000 role

More jobs for the (utterly incompetent) boys.

I watched a thing on Youtube with David Mitchell And he had an idea about this kind of corruption. His idea was that MP's should be outlawed from earning money from other sources whilst in Parliament and also when they retire and paid a guaranteed pension instead.

Pretty naive suggestion bearing in mind most of them come from careers that pay way more than an MPs salary and most end up with portfolios of investment that keep running as well as interests in their own companies etc.

What would be better would be strict enforcement of honest declarations of interests with dismissal from the house for anyone that ‘forgets ‘ that receive £100s of thousands for consultations etc. Maybe jail a few for fraud to concentrate a few minds ?

My personal preference would be the barring if anyone from the role of MP if a true any time they have publicly stated they want to be an MP ..in fact it should be like jury service and forced upon people who really don’t want to do it.

This chap was our MP until last year:

Have a read - net worth £130M! - and wonder what sort of pension the country would have to provide to stop him working.

Frying tonite!

Officers requested a "heat ray" weapon for possible use against protesters in a park next to the White House in June, a National Guard major has said.

Military police allegedly asked the National Guard for the Active Denial System (ADS), which makes targets feel their skin is on fire.

It happened before Lafayette Square was cleared of people protesting against the killing of black man George Floyd.

Fresh from his campaign rally (in front of 16 people & the cockroach), Biden flew to Florida where he was seen waving to an empty field as though it was full of people when he stepped off his private jet. Quite possibly the strangest video of the election (so far)....

Completely agree. Or does it only apply the '100s of thousands' club?
Boris Johnson has offered MPs a “full and unreserved apology” over the late declaration of more than £52,000 in income.
He made the apology to the House of Commons having been told to do so after he repeatedly failed to register payments from his newspaper column and books within the set time limit.
In a report, the parliamentary commissioner for standards, Kathryn Stone, said that the former foreign secretary admitted he had failed to register payments in time on nine occasions in the previous 12 months.

Have you heard the one about the alligator that performed the party trick of breathing in helium so it could talk in a funny voice?
It's not that hilarious but then you'd be careful never to smile at a crocodilian.
Stephan Reber and colleagues performed the experiment to try to understand how alligators might communicate.
It was a serious piece of research but its slightly comedic aspects have just won the team an Ig Nobel Prize.
