Re: Tourist Attractions

I've done the Eye years ago and I thought it was pretty good. Obviously I'd imagine you don't want to go on a grey, misty day! But I went on a decent clear day and yeah, the view is pretty damn good. I'd happily recommend it.

Not done it, but view wise the Sky Garden looks to be pretty impressive ...

Re: GSXS 1000 - Mofo's Gixxus

Did pre-flight checks for Friday's trip to Wales. Tightened the chain  Job jobbed.

I've held off washing it, it's covered in flies and dust from Clarkson's farm and the last 800-1000 miles of riding. But if I wash it I know it'll rain, so I'm not in the hope that the weekends bright ...

Re: Tracer 9 GT

I have to get over my obsession with having a spotless bike all the time and just get out and ride.

That's something I developed quite late in biking life, mainly as at the start my bikes were my transport and whilst they got a wash every week or 2 they never stayed clean. Then I hit a nice ...

Re: Tracer 9 GT

Didn't like those in the pics when they came out, but changed my mind when I saw one in the flesh. Especially with a different pipe on. Look pretty spiffing in real life.

Re: NBT I've just bought my forever bike part4 , The Final Edition!

Rode the bike without earplugs in last night and had a good listen to the bike with its Black Widow exhaust. It's actually quite loud when it comes on cam and the 58 ponies jump the gate! 8-)

I just can't ride without earplugs the wind noise is horrific, last time was only about 6 miles back ...

The article seems to suggest they are hoping to sell a couple of hundred bikes a year, I think they'd be lucky to get anywhere close to that.

Mac Motorcycles

According to MCN prices from £15.5k :o For a single with a Chinese copy of an old Husky engine  That's even more expensive than the Spitfire started at isn't it?

Usually with customs and the like we have moans about the space where the airbox should be, with that Malanca there's a space where the engine should be!

Re: Here we go again

On the bike I stick to 30 and 40 limits rigorously

Me too, but I found the 20 limits in the Cotswolds really hard to stick to. I was pretty much in 1st to do it, 2nd was more comfortable but then it was so hard to find yourself not doing 25/26 as the bike would naturally creep up. In the end ...

Re: When/Where/Pics was the last time you rode your bike ?

Couple of days late posting this. Friday evening mate with the mega mile 1290 says he's got all day Sunday to ride his bike and do I fancy a ride over to Clarkson's farm and pub. Enjoyed the series but not been bothered about going but figure it's a destination! Stuck medium twisty into the Sat Nav ...

Re: GSXS 1000 - Mofo's Gixxus

I'd already decided to clean it all up and see what happened. Did 100 miles last Monday and nothing other than a thin line of dirt, did 200 miles this Sunday and again a thin black line dirt/dust but nothing moist/wet. So leaving it for now.

From Goggle AI

"Givi's two primary luggage lines cater to different riding needs. Monolock is lighter, budget-friendly, and designed for scooters or light commuting. Monokey is Givi's heavy-duty, premium line, built to withstand higher speeds and heavier loads for touring motorcycles"

Re: Maria Costello seriously injured…

I hate to be 'that guy' but as time passes and speeds increase etc, this race makes less and less sense to me.

I don't think the speeds have made a big difference, if anything the late 90s look worse for deaths at least, but let's be honest it's not been a smart thing to do since the 50's and ...
