Re: 2010 ZX6R. The wifes trackbike.

Wear, profile, and squirrelyness. The first 2 are down to me, the last is down to Mrs Weeksy. Squirrelyness : This is down to Mrs Weekys 'feel' out on track, something we've been working on as rider/crew over the last few years. She's getting more used to what she likes and doesn't like in how a bi...

Re: Best value big naked out there at the moment ?

If you can put up with only 135bhp, £7k will get you my late 2015, 12k mile 1200 Monster. I might even give you £250 back. its up for Sale now. https://scontent-lht6-1.xx.fbcdn.net/v/t1.0-9/120087468_10157265888265811_4163170993933380346_o.jpg?_nc_cat=106&ccb=2&_nc_sid=730e14&_nc_ohc=uVU...

We've got an FB group but I'm too busy to promote it in and around all the bike specific groups, the dozens of ex VD / TRC folk who are all friends etc. A few people have accidentally found there way here and I'm sure more will over time.

Esso Super is one of the few that still doesn't contain ethanol, which as anyone who has carbed bikes will know is an absolute fecker- the water separates and creates untold problems in small passages in carbs, and that's not to mention its capability of rotting rubber seals and hoses, and swelling...

I'd deffo swap out those blue levers !
Regarding tyres, PR4 or 5s should give you everything you need. Shame you have a big 180 on the rear, With just over 70bhp you'd think that a 160 or 170 more than do the job.

Late to this thread. Top bombing!
A mate bought an across the frame IL4 K1200s a couple of years back. Its got electronic suspension, and all sorts of nonsense on it. Fortunately nothings gone wrong but I'd go for the older version like yours. Enjoy!

Re: When/Where/Pics was the last time you rode your bike ?

I was reading the 'Laying up your bike for winter' thread earlier then looked out of the office window and thought I'd do something more constructive with my lunch hour than the usual not taking a lunch hour! I fired the Ducati up and took it for a 30 mile spin over the Wiltshire downs and then took...

Re: Portimao, final MotoGP of the season 2020

Great day of racing, Moto3 played out the script to the end. I was hoping Arbolino would nick it (you can only pronounce his name prefixed with Toni and in a New York accent ;) ) but Arenas toughed it out really well. Couldn't believe Sam in Moto2, complete nail. MotoGP, I've got a Portuguese friend...

Re: New bike thread!

Must admit I'd half considered a scooter as a replacement for my Mrs car which has issues. If I only went back to the office on a limited basis a cheap scooter might be cheaper than replacing her car and she can use mine if I only needed to go back in say 1 day a week. But 2.5k for an NC seems good...

Use it through spring, TD it, then swap it for a multistrada after Portimao. Seems like pretty solid man logic to me :)
An elgrand sale could help fund... 🙂

I'm not sure how we can measure the smile-o-meter, but I'm reasonable confident of a top 5 finish in terms of grins, bottom 5 in terms of lap times! :)
