Re: Have I missed anything?

You still getting out with the Wiltshire lads. ?

We did a Euro tour last summer but didn't go abroad as a group this year. IanB managed a couple of trips to the Pyrenees and Picos with a couple of the lads, we're looking at doing another next year. I've still got he old Triumph Tiger, put ...

Re: 2024 Forum extravaganza ?

Where is it exactly? I don't do camping, and there seems to be a dearth of local pubs with rooms.

Re: 2024 Forum extravaganza ?

Hey all, apologies, let this thread slip.
We've got the place for the weekend of 26/27th July if we want it.
Tricky is racing at Castle Combe on the Saturday and its also Calne bike day as well - 20 minute ride away and there's usually a few thousand bikes visiting. We can camp in a field or in ...

Re: BLACK PUDDIN’: AN IRREVERENT SUZUKI GS1200SS BY STICKY’S SPEED SHOP

I like that sort of build and that engine looks good but I'd have a smaller seat unit, a better tank with proper sunken endurance fillers, decent single colour paint - so basically a different build.

Re: Friday (Thursday) thread the Easter one.

Got today off, already done the grocery shop, done some domestics and walked the dog.
A friend up the road has just bought his first bike (a 2005 Bonnie) and I'm giving him a lift up to Swindon to pick it up later. The poor bugger chose the wrong day as its fucking awful weather here! Hope he doesn ...

If you want to tour on a KTM, Just get an 890 adventure or wait for the 990 Adventure to come out.

ok if you ride a modern race rep, would look a bit shit on anything else.
(you might get away with it on a V4 Streetfighter or a 1390 SDR I suppose)

.
If it was a work gift for long service that I genuinely wanted to mark with something then I'd probably get a watch or something that will last forever, or if I wanted the money then I'd buy a gold chain and wait, then sell it when gold goes up.

^^ - yep, you can get a nice Hamilton for ...

Re: Bikes you lusted after but never actually bought

A DT175MX as progression from my Moped. For some reason I ended up with a Norton!

I had a GSX750 when first in NZ. Lusted after a big trailie (Transalp mainly) as they had thousands of KMs of "metal roads" but the GSX was a good mile muncher.

I think the modern version of the specific interest club would be an FB interest group. I'm in various Ducati groups on FB, air cooled 2 valve, 900ss etc. They are great for information / advise / mech upgrades etc. was in the Elgrand group, am in the Merc SLK group.
I was in the Honda Hornet "club ...

That's a real shitter Ian,
Not the easiest bikes to flick on unless they went straight across the channel for a new life in eastern Europe.
A cul de sac is usually safer as there's more chance of getting caught. Shame no ones got a CCTV rigged up.
Hope they're insured and or they get recovered.

The Porsche makes sense in pretty much every way, not least because a good mate I went to school with owns a Porsche specialist place and I know he'd look after me.

But Ferarris have a strange place in my head, it's a bit more than just buying a car.
I've had a 911 and it was ok, but it wasn't a ...

Re: Anthony Joshua vs Francis Ngannou

Tyson Ngannou can be completely ignored, Tyson when he is on top form will completely outbox Usyk and he’d box the head of AJ all day everyday.

But you can't ignore it as we went in badly prepared and got sat on his arse by a debutant. Like Potter said, the person that beats Tyson is Tyson. if ...

I've mulled a couple over myself, usually via a hybrid project where someone has shoehorned a YPVS engine into them.
Lovely things, but blinking uncomfortable unless you're a teenager.
Yep, a little trail bike is alright to have a play on, a pocket sized race rep isn't!
