Re: Restomods - what would you have built?
I've just watched the XJC episode of Wheeler Dealers (on Quest). They reckoned the 4.2l straight six was betterer. I also had a XJ 4.2 straight 6 both were nice  The 12 was heavy so on soft suspension it rolled a lot but you really could balance a 50p on the engine. When i first got it, it...

Re: BOX FRESH: A ZERO MILE HONDA CB750 CAFE RACER
Aside from the fact its a CB750 I like that, big gap, pod filters and all. That's what our bikes looked like in the mid 80s when we got something usually late 70s and stripped all the dead weight off. Except that's not painted with a rattle can and looks a damned site prettier

Re: Astrazeneca/Oxford vaccine approved
Its been decided that asthmatics are not a priority. It was on the BBC last week. Apparently we are at an increased risk of long Covid but no greater risk of death. You only get bumped up the list if you take steroids orally and have been in hospital. Steroid inhalers don't count, only tablets. I've...

Yeah, that didn't look at all bad but their new strategy seems to be the same old 'concentrate on their core customers'. Does seem a bit doomed.

How does it turn adventure bike market on its head its just another tractor...
Harley producing a short stroke 150bhp motor is much more interesting, but no they 'lose' it in this POS.
Stick it in an XR750 rep and they might actually sell a few

Re: The Official Pleasing Purchase Thread
Cheap electric guitars. They should be terrible but they're surprisingly ok. I assembled one, as a kit, over Christmas really to see how awful it might be and because the length of the Christmas break can be well boring ;) Yeah the electronics are at the cheap end but I was expecting real out-of-th...

On my driving test, half way through the 3 point turn a dog came and stood in front of the van and puked for what felt like an eternity. I failed that one

Re: Weird motorcycle things you remember
On my test the examiner chose a piece of road that has just been top dressed for the emergency stop. Luckily the brakes on a Bantam are rubbish so it wasn't too big a slide. The examiner was very apologetic and passed me.
