KTM Troubles

Development on the 2025 bike to be paused until the next test. It was inevitable that their poor business choices would have some impact on the race team. I doubt KTM will be a challenge next year as you can't afford to stand still. https://www.motorsport.com/motogp/news/ktm-to-pause-motogp-bike-dev...

Summary: They gambled and it didn't work out, or in business speak, poor management decisions.

Re: WTF- Shakey jumps on the gravy train....

I think that was the basis of his case. The barriers that were put up on the days of the BSB should have been there on an official testing day. I didn't know that. It puts an entirely different light on the matter. Since he was only doing 15ish mph on impact, how slow are these races? ;) Jests asid...

Official test.
In which case I have zero sympathy for MSV/BSB. Why they should think the riders don't need the same level of circuit protection for a test day, compared to a race day, is beyond me.

Re: WTF- Shakey jumps on the gravy train....

Was it a track day or an official BSB test? Might not make any difference. If it was reasonably foreseeable that someone could hit it, and a better barrier could reduce injury, then the argument might be that it should have been installed. I actually agree with you. The point I was going to make, b...

Re: In todays news...

Yeah it's MSM hyperbole, they didn't have a years worth of rain in a day. :wtf: Where, in any of the comments, was it mentioned that they didn't have a years worth of rain? If you mean 1957, they had 500mm over two days. No, I questioned the post as I couldn't see anyone that said they didn't have ...

Maybe, or just the usual editing tools that have been used for quite a few years to create click bait thumbnails on Youtube.

Don't watch teh news that often anymore so I only just heard about the floods in Spain. 96 dead so far!  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fDcVW5JWrTU Such a click bait image, which shows no respect to what's actually happened. Hardly surprising it's a yank that has done this. Not ...

That was quite mild compared to what they were talking about before. Fairly sensible really. Good for the young people after 14 years of favouring the elderly. I thought they'd have hammered them more but maybe that's to come later. They did put the plastic in the sea after all. Not sure how this w...

Re: Bike Tour Travel Insurance / Medical Cover

Also look at Carole Nash as they do bike specific insurance, but more importantly it looks like they will help you find cover that takes into account pre existing conditions. Most travel insurance will exclude pre existing conditions.

Enea does seem to have some of his old confidence back - It'll be interesting to see how he gets on in the second half of the season.

As for Jake - Really happy for him - what a fighter.

Thanks for the detailed theory, but you didn't answer why they picked someone who was a shit shot. I mean, you'd have thought they'd use someone who had a history of being a competent shot. Don't you?

The original was too low. Gave fuck all protection at speed.
Buy cheap, buy twice. Just order a double bubble thing from a reputable Spanish/UK outfit.

Screwdriver: in my opinion it was an inside job organised by the secret service. There's no other way to account for the multiple red flags these highly trained agents should easily have been able to spot. The timing is quite handy too, along with the subsequent coup against the failed Biden. Why d...

Re: Panigale

I'm sure the exhaust is perfectly placed for mass centralisation/optimisation, but it looks proper shite. Delete that (or even just paint it black) and the bike looks 100% better. IMHO, of course. I wouldn't say 100% better, however, yes, it would look better. However, it's all a bit front heavy, a...
