Re: Suzuki gsxs1000gx
Looked at this at the show, an adv style bike and riding position on 17’s. Same as a bmw s1000xr which is £5k more and less reliable. My bro has the naked Suzuki this is based in and the engine is brilliant. The Kawasaki versys is similar but 40hp down. Unless you’re going off road this has to be o...

Re: CAFÉ RACER KIT: YAMAHA XSR900 C-S
What is it with the gopping headlight style? Everyone seems to be 2 pumps and a squirt about it, as evidenced by the reaction to the hideous MV Velour (or whatever it's called), but they look shite. Just like the original Multistrada still looks shite.

Re: Suzuki gsxs1000gx
I sat on one at the NEC, and there was nothing I could fault from that limited experience, however I liked the GT version more, but that's because I've moved more towards a sport touring type of ride. I'd look at Suzuki as and when I get bored of the KTM. I liked their range of "old man" t...

Re: Ecu remap and pipes
No, I haven't measured the exhaust noise throughout the entire rev range or any part thereof. I am also blissfully unaware of any additional baby-murdering hydrocarbons my illegally tampered-with exhaust system is now emitting. I would also submit that I have a long and inglorious history of fittin...

Re: Tommy Bridewell Shocker !!!!!
He switched on the Christmas lights in Town on Friday night (he's a Devizes boy) and he seemed happy enough. Didn't say anything about next season. What's happening with Wilf and Rapido Ducati? I think they run just the one bike, Christian Iddon has signed for another season I believe. Yep, Iddon o...

Re: Ecu remap and pipes
Whatever answer I came up with would have been unacceptable. I asked the question: "Have you measured the noise, through the entire rev range, to back up your claim that it is "only very slightly louder than standard?" You haven't answered it; all you have done is offer something abo...

Re: Ecu remap and pipes
I do have a working pair of ears, and I'm able to make comparative judgements. I also have an MoT tester that is very quick to tell me if the exhaust noise of any of my bikes is even slightly excessive. "No" would have been a quicker answer. Whatever answer I came up with would have been ...

In your opinion the noise isn't obnoxious. Have you measured the noise, through the entire rev range, to back up your claim that it is "only very slightly louder than standard"? I do have a working pair of ears, and I'm able to make comparative judgements. I also have an MoT tester that i...

Re: Ecu remap and pipes
For a leftie you don't half show some Torry character traits. "F**k everyone else, this is inconveniencing me, so I'll do what I damn well please." I used to do this in my 20's and 30's, but now I'm in my 50's I've learnt that it's obnoxious, women don't drop their knickers at a lou...

Re: Ecu remap and pipes
If the cat on the Duke 690 had been less visually offensive and hadn't interfered massively whenever I do an oil change (which is quite often), then I might have let it be. But it looks hideous and in order to clean up properly after an oil change it has to be removed every time, which quickly gets...

Re: Valencia MotoGP
Martin is blaming everyone but himself for the loss. Apparently Marquez let the brakes off which caused him to run into the back of him :wtf: ,and Vinales shouldn't have been repassing him when he went for the desperate overtakes. Methinks his ego has got a little too big. https://www.crash.net/moto...

If you want to know what leadership looks like, look no further than Phil Neame and his roll in the battle of Goose Green.

Compared to his peers (the 2 old duffers who he has a chat with), he must have been a great bloke to command you.
