Re: MCN : New KTM RC390 moves on the A2 game in a big way

Visually the bike has had a complete refresh.... I don't know what the definition of a complete refresh is but visually it looks very similar to me, if you play spot the difference then it's had some changes, but a complete refresh? https://mcn-images.bauersecure.com/PageFiles/666339/1440x960/KTM-R...

Re: What bike have you ridden to the limit of it's performance?

Most people who ride off road at any speed can save a front end slide, you wouldn't save one if you were riding at 100% though, that's were people like Marquez are better than the rest. I'd be very surprised if the average bloke can actually process what's happening and save any sort of serious sli...

I really like that, it would knacker my back but it looks nice.
I bet that clutch makes a racket sat at the traffic lights.

Re: University challenge

I guess the senior management favouring that system are the children of that system. Exactly. It's now embedded and people think that's how it should be done. PS Carillion was probably ruined by aggressive accountancy - not a typical University degree although the accountants were probably run by B...

Re: University challenge

I thought you dropped out. And became and ex-serviceman, ex-offender and ex addict with few formal qualifications, marginalised from the employment market. Then got a distance learning degree style qualification in sparking before becoming a sand-whore to Bangla in order to buy gauche baubles. ;) I...

Re: University challenge

Well this didn't get much banter going :( I thought I'd get the Pony giving me a good run for my money but he's done a bunk. I did actually sign up for an LLM and did the first module but I had to put it on hold because I'm so busy and my free time is important to me atm. I'll pick it up towards the...

Re: Best coffee machine?

Best home coffee machine for under a bag of sand? What sort of coffee do you drink? I just drink filtered so can't be bothered with all that frothy nonsense so I've got one of these along with a Wilfa grinder https://www.currys.co.uk/gbuk/household-appliances/small-kitchen-appliances/coffee-machine...

Re: Douwe Egberts Coffee

Tabloid and opinionated news is the only news that sells in the UK, no one gives a shit what is actually going on in the world, they just want news that they can complain about. Thousands of kids died today from starvation, but here we are discussing the (imaginary) shortage of coffee and some woman...

Re: Douwe Egberts Coffee

Love the use of the term ‘Facebook news’. It’s the new ‘snowflake’ for the type of people who need camps to align to. It's just a way to describe people that read stuff on Facebook/Twitter and then screech about it like it's the end of the world. The news was showing pictures of nurses crying and h...

Re: University challenge

I'm talking proper degrees here. 😉 As for the gf, her second one is really very good. I thought about getting another one so I can earn more, but to be honest I just don't need the money, you can only own so much shit and it's a pain in the arse to have to keep opening bank accounts to stuff money ...

Re: Douwe Egberts Coffee

More Facebook news, we've gone from coffee running out to a mentalist spouting shite in London and now we're all appalled?

The scenes of nurses hugging because they're so upset by a crackpot on Twitter are a bit much.

Re: Best coffee machine?

We have a Breville one, it's ok, but it's a couple of years old now and I'm sure there will be better ones out there, I think it was about a monkey but I'm ok with paying a bit more for something decent.

Re: University challenge

Are we talking degrees? Lovely, lovely degrees. And the associated RttL discussions. ;) I only have two. That said so does my girlfriend and I think she invoices at £10k a day. Two degrees and your bird still earns more than you, that's savage. I'm shitting gold bars with only one degree, per...

Re: Good 125's

Yeah I think the Mito is as good as money in the bank, even if prices stop going up they're unlikely to go down so it will probably never be worth less than it is now. A mate of a mate had one about 15yrs ago and I had a quick go, it felt really fast for a 125. I think leaving them standard is the w...

Re: Good 125's

I'd have said £850 is about right for an unknown running YPVS engine, I think the £2K people are trying it on in a big way, but they seem confident of selling at that price. It wasn't really unknown, I bought it off Mutts nuts and he did say he hadn't checked every inch of it but it was one of his ...

Re: What have you done today thread?

Started fencing the duck enclosure in preparation for the duckling that will hatch soon. Don't count your duckling until it's hatched. Duckling being one of those singular/plural nouns, like sheep. You don't know if it's singular or plural yet, you shouldn't count your duckling before it/they has/h...

Re: A right now thread

I'm in Dublin nursing a headache from the Guinness, it's almost as bad as Newcastle Brown Ale for a next day headache. I normally try to be healthy and a week of fried breakfasts and evenings on the Guinness is playing havoc  You could have brought a bit of sunshine with you, its pissing down ...

Re: Good 125's

I've got a 350 YPVS engine sitting on my bench, I bought it for £850 but it was a few years ago now. It's got a new top end and I put new power valves in from Fowlers but that wasn't a cheap exercise, the valves, bushes and seals cost me about £400. No idea what I'm going to do with it, I was going ...

Re: Douwe Egberts Coffee

I'm currently having the "what degree should I do" discussion with my 17 year old daughter, she seems to have no concept of what she'll do with this degree once she's got it, fuck knows what her teachers have told her, because she doesn't appear to have grasped the concept that qualificat...
