Aye, I can understand that. It's no biggie, I'm sure I'll join you and him there sometime after Christmas.

Re: New bike day. The hand me down. (MTB)
(hopefully none of this comes over as insulting to @Beancounter as it's really not meant to... I don't think i improved during the day lol. I think the skills compensator did an awesome job. !!! ) Not at all mate, you were definitely a lot more comfortable on the Session and I don't think that's pu...

Re: Dyfi 27th Dec
This is very much in the 99% sorted side of things. We'll be doing hotel the night before (£42) and then hitting Dyfi I think @Beancounter is good for this, me and of course the boy. But we won't see him anyhow. Just need to work out how to get me a Session before then. :banana-wrench: Sorry Weeksy...

Re: Mike Tyson Vs Jake Paul.
Just seen its 2 minute rounds and 14oz gloves. They'll be wearing head protection next. I really wish Tyson wasn't doing this, well, unless he does knock teh crap out of Paul, but even then I've really started to feel its a tacky end to his career. I'm ignorant on boxing so bear with - what ...

Morleys - the finest south London fried chicken emporium to exist. Would have preferred them to collaborate with Crucial Sauce Company rather than Heinz.
It's not as smooth as you might expect. Still delicious.

Sausage roll, not Greggs mind, with a splash of tommy tatoe sauce and a strong brew.....happy days or do you wanna argue about it? You want sugar on your sossie roll? https://encrypted-tbn0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcSEpvZFBNTotHuWrzvBoIaUEExUZfXrdu829A&s Forget Tommy K and mayo, th...

Re: NBT: I’ve just bought my forever bike, part 2!
I've just upgraded my security on the bike. We have an external security firm working front of house and car park. A lot of them are Africans. I always bid them good morning/afternoon/evening. One them is a huge bloke with a voice that has so much bass, it rattles the windows! Anyway, I'm putting t...

Re: Bpw 16th Nov, grown ups only
Booked. Haven't decided on staying over yet.
***Edit*** - I've booked the Premier Inn for the Friday night. I won't get there until 10/10.30pm so doubt there's much point anyone else booking in.

Re: Bosch Performance Line CX Gen 2 Strip Down
Went to Cwmcarn on Saturday, was a good testing ground for the motor rebuild - all went well, no issues at all with the motor. :D Also went to BPW with an uplift newbie, his bike didn't fare so well. Rear mech stop working so his chain kept falling off because his mech wouldn't tension the chain. H...

Because up until August this year, the bike has been faultless.Rockburner wrote: ↑Tue Oct 15, 2024 11:19 amI still don't understand why you keep standing in it's way....Beancounter wrote: ↑Tue Oct 15, 2024 10:54 am
Ouch. Given it fried its reg/rec a couple of months ago it may be trying to self-immolate.

Re: Ignition Coils
In theory any coil of the right resistance will work, they only need the two wires connected, it doesn't matter which way round, and the HT lead to go to a spark plug. Any HT lead will work. Why not convert it to stick coils? Ta. It's already on stick coils. I was wondering if getting the 'right' c...

Thank you, haven't seen that particular page before and it explains the "woodscrew" that I'd been reading about on the Aprilia forum. I have a few that I can practice on at least.Sadlonelygit wrote: ↑Mon Oct 14, 2024 2:38 pm https://www.moto-abruzzo.net/renault-v6 ... d-fitment/

Ignition Coils
Aprilia Caponord ETV1000 2007 (Gen 2). It has four coils, two per cylinder, all the same. Bike appears to run fine at idle but under load bogs down quite badly. If running at idle and in the garage, it doesn't take long to get high on the petrol fumes so I guess there's unburnt fuel. One of the rear...

Nice one, seems to have taken a load more patience than I would have had? Hopefully it's as good as new and gives you miles more riding. Ace job mate.. hugely impressed and agree with Nord, you're a better man than I gunga din. I do tend to be quite cautious when working on anything mechanical espe...

Re: Bosch Performance Line CX Gen 2 Strip Down
Now on to the most annoying bit of the project - trying to re-fit the motor back into the frame. The weight and shape of the motor makes it difficult to place into the frame, you need to push down on the frame at the same time. Much easier to turn the bike upside down when the weight of the motor be...

Re: Bosch Performance Line CX Gen 2 Strip Down
Before installing the transfer gear you need to make sure the thin black wire/cable is correctly routed behind the white plastic clip and the white clip is not dislodged - it easily moves when you're lifting out the PCB and trying to remove the main motor gears.
