Re: How Fast Would You Dare Go?

Imagine a clean runway on a litre bike and offer of money to ride topless?

I'd imagine my moobs would start fluttering at anything above 30

Cycled 4500 miles round Europe including some epic alpine descents bitd with no helmet & still happy to hit 50mph on a push bike with no lid, so I recon ...

Re: How much do you spend on a motorcycle exhaust?

About £600 on a Mass system, junked the faux scrambler high level exhaust, saved a chunk of weight & added some dB, still need to get it on a Dyno to smooth it out & get rid of a few pops & bangs

Re: Judge wants to ban biking for longer than driving...

If they want to treat car and bike licenses independently then it should be across the board, lose bike license for bike offences but car license is untouched. I suspect the judge wouldn't like that

Yeah, I'm not sure the powers that be would like that all, despite me thinking that it would ...

According to the place I've been to getting bits done for my old Morini, it's the preparation that can add to the costs.

Re: Surviving the heat

Pretty much convinced myself that one major advantage of a leccy bike in traffic would be so much less heat from the engine, it felt like my legs were on fire sat astride the CBF in London stationery traffic.

Re: Surviving the heat

I'd recommend not doing the journey, unless you absolutely have to. It'll be a furnace.
Believe me if I didn't have to do it I wouldn't & work is usually pretty flexible.

Leaving at 5am would get me to the first appointment 2hrs early but make zero difference to the next leg 🥵

Re: Surviving the heat

Aircon in car is fucked plus driving in London is horrible, not gonna sweat it out on the tube, so bike is least worst option...

BTW, it'll be 35c here later and I'm on track in full leathers

You'll probably be going more than 20mph though 😜

Buff soaked in water round my neck sounds like a plan ...

Surviving the heat

Got to travel Aylesbury - Peckham - Earls Court - Aylesbury on Tuesday. Think the bike jacket will be chucked in the top box for the cross London part of the which will see me joining the riding in a T shirt gang 😔
Any tips, beside getting a leccy bike, to survive the impending heatwave?

Re: Maria Costello seriously injured…

Maybe the Manx cos of the old bikes, but not the racing itself.
The Manx is definitely more chilled atmosphere & 100% less box tickers go there, but the bikes aren't really that old and pretty much just as fast...

Hope Maria heals well 🤞

As for the boot, going to go to a shop and take my time looking, defo want something a bit taller to cover the ankle, already had my fair share of ankle problems over the years falling off skateboards but then those SPADA's do look pretty nice.....maybe after I get the license

Re: Analogue bikes

2018 registered Morini Scrambler doesn't even have ABS but does have digital dash, but electronics is cheaper than mechanical innit and more prone to getting completely fucked too 😕
