Re: Cbr600fx
Runout spec is usually 0.2mm, if it's more than that there's no ignoring it.
That being said - is it definitely that? If the square seals are lower quality, the groove still has corrosion in it, or etc , then it could be the pistons are being pulled back in by other means.
Can also be that when ...

Re: Cbr600fx
Calipers rebuilt, they work well but even riding to the end of the road the lever was coming back to the bars, pump it a few times and it goes hard, the warped disc is pushing the piston too far back.

I've found two for £50 but I've also possibly got the chance of getting a 1998ish fireblade.
I'll try the rebuild, it may be easier to sell with oe calipers that work correctly

They are considered an upgrade for loads of Honda's. I fitted a pair to my Firestorm years ago.
and I fitted Firestorm calipers to my VFR750
I've still got my Firestorm calipers, MC, hoses and lever in the garage somewhere I think. Meant to sell them, but I never get round to it! I ...

The story is that rolls Royce contacted a wool processing plant and wanted to buy all of the oils surplus after the wool had been processed, they then used it to rust proof their cars.

So I've done about 60 miles commuting on it, much better for my needs, no slower than the zzr11 and much quicker round corners, it wants to turn the zzr11 didn't.
Just need to get used to the lower bars and set the suspension up a bit better

Re: Cbr600fx
So I bought some fuel proof sealant that I used on the tank and tap interface and some fuel proof jewels that I fixed the tap with.
So you don't have to reread stuff, the original tap is no longer available, I broke mine doing it up to tight.
I bought a new pattern cbr900(97-98) tap and removed the ...

Today I removed the vacuum bit of the tap as it didn't like flowing even on reserve, appears to be working now..... fingers crossed

Re: Cbr600fx
The new fuel tap arrived yesterday and as it was dark and I have to work outside I fitted it, bit of a pain, I think the initial threads got damaged.
Checked this morning and no fuel leak, needs adjusting tomorrow as it's a bit bigger than the std one which isn't vacuum.
