Re: Would you have an electric car if you had the money for a new car and were in the market for one?

Seems like the UK market is very different from over here It's very much aimed at daily drivers here. Tesla 3s and Polestar 2s is about as expansive as it gets, but the heavy marketing is going in from BYD, MG Hyundai and Kia, all at the cheaper end (sub $60K). Not many super performance EVs around ...

Re: Would you have an electric car if you had the money for a new car and were in the market for one?

Accumulated experience is revealing another financial drawback with electric vehicles. I recently wanted to replace my 3 year old Silence S01 electric scooter with a new slightly improved latest version of the same. But no agent I could find was willing to accept the old S01 even in part exchange f...

Re: Does anyone here not ride, or not ride anymore?

Just curious as to why people maybe don't ride or gave it up? I don't, always wanted to, something always got in the way (parents, money, wife, money, kid) - now I can finally, my 10 year old has laid on the guilt trip quite heavily and my poor ADHD rattled mind is continuing to go back and forth o...

Re: Would you have an electric car if you had the money for a new car and were in the market for one?

Test drove a Bimmer i4 yesterday Really nice. Feels like a top-endish 3 series inside (not a bad thing obvs), loads of very smooth power, can feel the weight in the corners but not horrendously so. Just feels like a really sorted, 'normal' car but electric. I'm almost sold There are about 4 or 5 EVs...

Re: Would you have an electric car if you had the money for a new car and were in the market for one?

Volvo have already gone SUV Only in the UK. Ford stopped making the Fiesta because the Puma SUV was outselling it. I hate SUV's, it seems I'm the only one. Nah, I hate them too, that's what started all this off. Looking around I fancied a Jag XE, went to see the dealer and they couldn't order. See ...

Re: Would you have an electric car if you had the money for a new car and were in the market for one?

I'm deffo having an EV next as the tax giveaway here is gargantuan :D I think I'll wait until they're good enough that the government doesn't have to bribe me (with my own money) to buy one. If it was only a small saving I probably wouldn't bother, but it's ludicrously generous (and therefore won't...

Re: Would you have an electric car if you had the money for a new car and were in the market for one?

I'm deffo having an EV next as the tax giveaway here is gargantuan :D Out of interest, if they're that encouraging, what's the charging infrastructure like? Can't imagine there's much in between the cities once you go west a bit! It's OK on major routes. But like most Aussies, 95% of our driving is...

Re: Would you have an electric car if you had the money for a new car and were in the market for one?

I'm in the market right now and I would have an electric car......if I liked any of them. I've had a really good look and i just don't. I think maybe it needs another 4-5 yrs to get enough choice So I think the next ICE car will be the last one of those we'll buy. Although I'm struggling to find man...

Woooh. Had an amazing France tour with you and Whitebird. Always remember :D Fuck me, that rain, eh? Anyway, times have moved on. I'm not riding at the mo unfortunately, might get back on when the kids are finally grown up. I make up for it with a shitton of pushbiking including daily commute (25km...
