The place I had mine done offer 3,5 and 8 year coatings, though i'd imagine durability is determined by how much you wash your bike.

I went trail riding for the first time last week and had loads of fun. Currently in the market for an enduro bike as may also do some H&H type events to keep me sharp for mountain bike racing.

I had the Slim but have just replaced it with the Bold as the battery didn't sit right on the back of my new helmet. Very happy with the performance of both as an intercom. The voice activation works well and the sound is crystal clear.
