Re: Motorcycle Live - meh or yeah?

Had not been for a while so attended last years. Dont expect to go again for the foreseeable. Thought it was crap. Expensive to enter expensive to park expensive to eat. Load of stall selling cheap junk and dealers too busy talking to each other to talk to the public. So MEH!

Re: What satnav do you use?

It depends:

Car generally I use Waze via Android Auto but It has a built in Here based satnav too. On the Bike I have a TomTom 550 and usually the BMW App running too.

Quite often I ignore them totally and just drive/ride

Re: Christmas present to self

The 1200 was a late 2016 so kept it 6 years. The stuff I used was for fishing rods so reasonably grippy but not thick enough to make any difference to the diameter. Used this first time on the previous BM as the grips had worn. previous to that bike I had a Sprint GT that covered similar milage with...

Re: Christmas present to self

No a light grip also can wear the grips especially the left hand one. But even on the right and one with moving you hand/fingers for brake cover etc it will wear the grip not now not in 6K but by the time you get to 20K it will be noticeable and then get worse quicker as the surface is softer

Re: Christmas present to self

Hi,

Grips wear so the wrap protects them when it gets worn you can replace that and the grips underneath are pristine

Front engine protection plate What's the advantages of fitting one of these? If to protect from gravel shrapnel, would a fendaextenda be better? Had bad experiences with fender extenders extra strain on the front mudguard, they tends to collect things from country roads, though I would try this ins...

Re: self driving vehicle on UK motorways in 2023

AFAIK the Mercedes S-Class is already homolgated in the EU to self drive up to 30something mph? They are probably ahead of the curve? EU General Safety R...
