Re: Go woke, or go broke...

S'funny you should mention this, as last Sunday I passed an Aston and, what I thought was, a big Audi, in anti focus colours on the Fosse Way.
Seems it was a Jaaaaaaaaaaaag

Re: MotoGP Testing

Beginning of last season, Tardozze says there's very little difference between 23/24 bikes. End of season testing he gives us insights into MM thoughts on the 24 bike, which is what he's describes as 'this is where we make the big steps over old bike' Turning and engine braking........nothing signif...

Re: What do points make?

You'd think that if your livelihood was reliant on you having a driving license, and if you are approaching 12 points you'd drive like mother Theresa rather than Lewis Hamilton. I had 9points many moons ago (a series of unfortunate events, strangely none my fault), however for 18 months I drove to t...

Re: What have you done today thread?

A sprinter won't have an eberspacher, possibly an auxiliary heater, my Moho does which works when the water temp is below 70. Full size coaches often have some form of night heating, except usually have to be programmed and instructions are never in English, so easier to plumb in an inverter and use...

Re: What have you done today thread?

Could you use a broom to clear snow from the windscreen? But no good for frost / ice until it warms. If I have to, I use a broom for windscreen and roof on cars and minibuses (actually couldn't manage that very well until about 18 months ago!). I can clear part of the screen of frost but on a minib...

Re: Another pick your brains - ZX9R E2

As has been said, you want an F.
E had crap 6 pot calipers, heavy crank, iirc subframe was integral to frame, various other chassis anomalies.
F model was a 170 mph q bike, just had it's thunder stolen by gsxr1000/R1 battle.
Took one to the Black Forest, all day comfortable too!

Re: Nerdy MotoGP fuel tank post

Car tanks tend to be quite regular in shape, whereas as you can see the underseat section, tank proper and various shaped sections would make fitting a bag quite possibly impractical as these bikes are on the limit of fuel endurance for race distance, so need every bit of space they can muster in th...

Re: Nerdy MotoGP fuel tank post

Gone are the days of foam filled tanks to stop fuel slosh.
I'd imagine there's baffles and foam in there and all sorts of bits of clever tech

Re: Yamaha MT-09 SP

The earlier cp3 offerings handling could easily be sorted by adding adjustable compression damping to the other leg.
The current bikes have identical fork dimensions to the earlier models, though guessing better base settings!

H J Pugh auctions last week, quite a few vendors took a pill.
I know the retail side of things is a bit (lot) slow, now the malaise has transferred to the grippers too.

Re: Insignificant/ Significant things that BYP or just wind you up a little

The stepson again! His life is based on style over substance. Swmbo let him borrow the UK car whilst we were over in France. He fitted new bonnet and wheel badges, shiny new number plates, fitted new covers onto the key fob. He failed to notice the broken front spring, the bolloxed alternator, and t...
