Re: WSBK Magny Cours 2024

The Toprak Razgatlıo crash was nuts! But saw another video of someone else basically riding a bucking bronco version of a motorbike!! Freaking awesome that the second guy kept it upright!! Even more so that Toprak isn't seriously injured! :o

But I do have a crit air sticker, no idea if the po-po and the crit air people share data.
I can't imagine it's that linked up TBH. I'll cross fingers for you :)

Re: What have you done today thread?

I woke up really late (I did go to bed after midnight!! LOL) and had a brunch and then a mate dropped me down to the village at the bottom of the road so I could get the bike from the depot. Damn, it was awesome fun to find that!!  I know it's not a bike I'd want to buy, but just being ab...

Having written that I won't ride in trainers, I did just that the other week when staying in Chambery near the school -

Never felt so uncomfortable on a bike! It was less than 1.5kms each way and through a trading estate, so not fast. But yeah - not keen!! LOL LOL

Re: Dune du Pilat

As an aside, have Fronch speed cameras stopped flashing when they take a picture? I went through two today at 40kph+ more than the limit, they didn't flash at all. Some of the digital jobbies higher up on posts don't seem to flash. The shorter ones do. (Might not be an always thing but I'm sure tha...

Re: 2024 San Marino GP

I'm confused (not hard, I know!) - Quartarao 'seems' to qualify sort of ok (10th ish??) but nothing in the race. So is the bike just not capable of a whole race but sort of ok for qualifying? I'm certain sure it's a stupid question, but my brain is still tired from 'school'!! LOL I think it's the o...

Re: VFR Pipe & slippers?

It's always interested me when people say bikes are heavy (I know I say teh CBF I'm currently riding is top heavy, but it's the CG that's the issue, not the actual weight!) Yeahbutt you're still a young thing. :P    I love you!!   (As the oldest student on the course ...

I love it when you're sitting outside and some dirty fucker on the next table starts smoking. I absolutely agree with banning it. If you want to smoke do it in your house, preferably with the windows closed. The only people I want to ban are those people who want to ban things. I used to smoke, I d...

Re: VFR Pipe & slippers?

It surprises me that the early VFR hasn't attracted any classic status. Honda knocked it out of the park when they overcompensated for the woeful VF750. I haven't owned one myself, but I've ridden with plenty of friends who had them and the only gripe I ever heard was the odd regulator/rectifier fai...

Nearly got locked in the training centre car park yesterday! Small incident with a fuckwit on the course meant that another guy stood and talked with me for a while after we finished.. When we went to leave, the gate was closed and you need a code to open it! Luckily I had the code from the other mo...

Put some plantar fasciitis insoles in my work shoes. I now feel about two inches taller. Whilst having a walnut in each shoe. Often plantar fasciitis is caused by other muscles not functioning right. PF is a just a generic term for foot pain! So if you can find out what muscle...

Well I've had two awesome conversations today. I got home and rushed to a mates cafe as I knew he wouldn't be open tomorrow evening. Chatted with a few peeps but mostly with his girlfriend. She remembers me from when I had to try to talk to her about parking (she's the manager) and neither of us spo...

I'll be fluent by 8th November It's not easy doing stuff in foreign. I was chatting to a Spanish friend last week, she's an estate agent, and she was showing me her Duolingo. There's lots of Dutch people around at the moment so she's decided that she needs to speak to them in their own language. Sh...
