Re: What have you done today thread?

Annual night shoot last night. Lovely night with no wind but bloody cold.

It finished late and it was nearly midnight by the time I got home.

Few hours kip and getting ready to set off down to MCL.

Re: Motorcycle Live - meh or yeah?

I’m going.

Coming down on Tuesday, going to the show on Wed and going home on the Thursday.

It’s a couple of days away with the show as a bit of an incidental but I’m looking forward to it. It can’t be any worse than the Scottish Bike Show.

Re: A right now thread

Watching Moto GP.

The cat is sound asleep beside me and I’m tempted to poke him awake to make up for the little s**t waking me up through the night every night. See how he likes it.

Cars. Used to do tuning, big engine swaps e.g 2 litre Pinto into an Escort.

Then I got married and didn’t have the time.

Now I can’t even be arsed doing my own servicing.

It’s a bit depressing that my bog standard 1 litre Fiesta would stomp all over anything I built.

Re: Can you still put written off bikes back on the road?

In my experience it seemed to be the assessor. They put my GS as cat B when the only structural damage was a bent subframe which is an easy repair job. Maybe I’m wrong but I’ve had another written of bike and especially in that case the assessor knew absolutely nothing about bikes. I suspect they ar...

Halloween. Can you be Ba Humbug about any event or just Christmas? We spend time and money recycling, buying bags for life etc. and generally being good little citizens then all of a sudden go crazy and import container ships full of plastic tat from China that decorate houses and gardens then go to...

Re: Itchy Boots

The latest episode goes into quite a bit more detail about the bike. The guy has certainly thought it out pretty well and heck does he know his stuff.

Itchy Boots

Back on 2 wheels again after her collar bone break.

An ‘interesting’ choice of new bike which isn’t one I’d have gone for.

Re: New Yamaha MT09

That’s probably top of my list when the OH stops going pillion and I get rid of my 1250R.

I’ve been looking at them for a while. When I considered trading the R in for a GS1300 for what it was going to cost I could have bought one of them new and kept the R as well.

Re: One bike you were glad to see the back of....

Nothing really against the bike but my ZZR1100. I moved house and it got stuck round the back under a cover. It was a royal PITA to get it out so basically didn't move for about 3 years. I made a vain attempt to put it back on the road, even putting in a new radiator. I got the brakes freed off but ...

Re: Insignificant/ Significant things that BYP or just wind you up a little

Got a bike club weekend away the middle of next month. Apart from that my calendar is embarrassingly bare with literally nothing on it the whole month.

Then 2 other things I’d love to go to turn up. And of course one is on that Saturday and the other on the Sunday.

Ain’t that always the way.

Sad but in my opinion not the weepie it’s made out to be. Especially as the ending is more or less revealed at the start of the film.

But that’s quite possibly just me.

Got the car MOT’d then went to IKEA.

Went for 2 things, neither of which they had but of course we couldn’t just turn round and walk out….hell no. I consider myself lucky I just got off with 13 quid.

Of completely no use to you Noggin but coincidentally I saw one just the other day, the first for a long time.

One of my mates sons has a CBR 125 and it goes far quicker than you’d expect. Well above the 70mph top speed often quoted.

On our Wednesday night ride outs there’s certainly no waiting for him.

Little bay near Portpatrick. A few of us were staying in Stranraer for the weekend, left the East Coast in 14 degrees and fog. Arrived in 28 degree blazing sun.

Was it a good price?

I know of one for sale, 2000 model, 35k, £2750.

Honestly I’ve no idea if that’s okay or not.
