Only an hour wait this time. This is on for 8 weeks minimum.

If it had been the left leg it wouldn’t have been so bad but I can’t even drive.

Re: Achilles Tendon

To busy. Royal by any chance? Its A&E is like a UN war zone if not full of junkies and drunks. I wonder if heading to the Borders General is a better option.

It was the Royal and yep, A&E was rammed, a 6 hour wait.

I thought I’d got lucky when they wheeled me to minor injuries only to find ...

Achilles Tendon

Anyone ever done theirs and what have I got to look forward to?

350 hard miles on the bike and I snap it putting it on the centre stand in my garden.

I’ve been to A&E and they’re so busy I’ve got to go back tomorrow.

Archery Club had a little range at the Lifeboat Day.

On my feet for about 6 hours and I’m knackered.

Mrs S is on Mounjaro for her type 2 diabetes. On prescription from the doctor.

The diabetic clinic has just put her dose up to the maximum of 15 as the blood sugar level wasn’t dropping enough on the lower levels.

So far it seems to be working as intended as a drug for diabetes, it was never ...

.. based on my experience of riders on the wrong side of the road coming straight at me.... It's happened 6 times, 5 of the riders were on GS's.

I pay for the road so I’m sure as hell going to use all of it.

Re: Finally getting my pip assessment in July

The Mrs is applying for Pension Disability due to her arthritis.

First bit was done over the phone a couple of weeks ago and someone from Disability Scotland is coming to the house next week to help her fill in the main (80 page) form.

Of course she’s going to maximise her symptoms but she ...

Spent money

Got the bike serviced, J&S’ s for knee armour and a cheapish set of boots for the wife.

Visit to Costco, petrol for the car and bike.

700 quid just gone like that.

Just an average Friday (fortunately not)

Re: Please ban me from the BMW showroom.

£256 for a service, basically just an engine and rear drive oil change. Oh well, such is life.

Got to back in in a couple of weeks because the hill start isn’t working and it sometimes has trouble shifting up from second to third. Warranty work if anything is wrong hopefully.

I bought custom moulded ones at the Birmingham Show last year.

I’m pretty underwhelmed by them to be honest. Maybe it’s just those particular ones.

Re: Please ban me from the BMW showroom.

Just over 3k on the bike now.

I was away for the weekend and pulled the bike out the shed Friday morning and pressed the ignition…nothing. Not a peep. I phoned my salesman mate at the dealer and he brought down a starter pack and it fired up no problem.

I took a pack with me in case it happened ...

Was up at Knockhill at a club meeting.

Sitting in the paddock was a nice clean 22 reg R7 with a for sale sign on for £4400.

I’m way too old for something like that but quite a bargain for someone at probably £2k under value.

On holiday in Kefalonia (nice place btw). Hired a VW Up, getting used to it now but it took a bit of doing.

Chucked the key into the centre console, oh it needs to go in the ignition. Gears to change, handbrake to let off manually and where’s the reversing camera?

I’ve only had my own car a ...

Leaving this morning for a bike club weekend in Oban.

14 of us going, some leaving later because of work.

The weather looks okay for today but Saturday might be a bit iffy. First time to put decent miles on the GS since I got it really.
