Don't all the profits go to Valencia flood relief?
Indeed they do. But not via robbery. And did every car driver had a ticket?

Re: Barcelona MotoGP

The website said that I had to pay for parking the car at the circuit, and entry was by a QR code, so I paid just under €30 for a parking pass. No one checked the QR code, just directed to a big field to park in. Only a 10 minute walk from where our seats are. Will be utterly pissed off if QR code i...

That seam would just eat away at me if i owned it.
A skim of filler would have fixed that.

Re: Valencia floods threaten season-ending GP

Yep AND the refund does not include the €9 booking fee or their €5 charge for e-tickets on the Valencia tickets. Plus I have had to pay both of those fees AGAIN for my Catalunya tickets for next weekend. If either of the other two options are used, MotoGP get to have MY money earning them interest ...

Re: Is Racing Getting Too Expensive?

I wonder how much it costs to compete in the FIM World Endurance Series, even in the SST class? It seems to be well supported in the number of teams that enter each round. The race season is held over four rounds, 2 x 24 hour races (Le Mans and BolD'or in France), and 2 x 8 hour races (Spa in Belgiu...

Re: Valencia floods threaten season-ending GP

They said I would receive a refund.

Makes sense as not everyone who has tickets for Valencia would be able to go to Catalunya.

Easier to administrate too-one section of theTicketing office will sell new tickets, another section will issue refunds.

Plus they say any profits will go to flood relief.

Re: Valencia floods threaten season-ending GP

Just received an email from the official MotoGP ticketing office, which included this information: "Please note that your current Valencia tickets will not be valid for the Solidarity GP, or any other event". So i've got to buy 4 tickets for Catalunya now, and fewer are available that were...

Re: Fireworks - a Catherine Wheel of fun or a rocket of annoyance?

Fireworks here are heard most weeks throughout the year, many related to religious events.

The fireworks used during "Night of Fire" in Alicante each August must far exceed the EU directives, as for the hour they are hoing off, the noise is ear splittingly loud

Screenshot_20241104_223122_Sky News.jpg Yesterday there was 5 minutes of silence across Spain at noon. Barcelona is suffering flooding now, and the forecast is for more. And no doubt more lives will be lost. But the more local news I see on TV, the more I see how much the flood has destroyed. Not t...

Re: Valencia floods threaten season-ending GP

I was just about to start a thread about this, a bit of a bugger because I have a ticket. I'll take a chance and give you 5€ for it. €130 all day long. I can't see MotoGP giving refunds so they'll make it valid for Philip Island or some such nonsense. Rather than give me tickets for the race somewh...
