Sat on once a) they try and kill people b) the bars are weirdly close to the rider ! A) first I have heard of that one, can you expand B) Must be an individual riding position thing as we all have our preferences because I have never thought that ….. quite comfy for me in fact but mine is the GT ve...

Re: Gloves under/over cuffs, chicken or egg etc????
And previous two replies demonstrate why 'storm' cuffs are great. The inner part tucks inside the glove cuff, to stop the cold wind going up your sleeve, the outer goes over the cuff to stop rain filling your glove. Unfortunately, few manufacturers really do this well. One thing is that once you ha...

Re: Tell me why I shouldn't buy a 1200GS
I Had my 07 model Adventure for 10 years, never let me down, never went wrong, sum total of warranty claim, a clutch switch paint was good, final drive was good, zero problems for me on it. service costs are about dealer standard, if you can do it yourself its very easy down on power really especial...

As above really Optimates or whichever flavour are not just a charger, they are a battery tender, they monitor charge levesl only top up when required, carry out de-sulphation if required and generally look after the battery its not just a trickle charger. case in point, my mates 1200 Bandit is 21 ...

Re: WFH and the new normal ? Happy, sad, indifferent ?
No such thing as WFH for me, busy busy year, altering peoples work places to accomodate new layout for you know what, installing screens, speech transfer system (if you can get hold of them) and generally being like a blue arsed fly, still cant complain

Re: HARRYYYYYYYYYY, Fantic stuff.
Abel went for a test ride on one of these at the begining of the year the Caballero if I recall correctly, he had in his words "already bought it" in his head and was well up for it. he was given the demo bike for pretty much the whole day with a comment along the lines of.." it might...

Re: Aftermarket brake disks
Like Demo, not a fan of EBC pro-lites at all, I fitted them to my ZX7R and ended up taking them back off, in the dry they were very good, in the wet they were terrible, I tried, HH pads, organic none of them made a difference, I ended up back with OE on that occasion Galfer stuff has a good reputati...

Re: Heated Kit
My instructor colleagues all have some sort of heated kit ranging from heated insoles, gillets, gloves etc etc as we spend all day in all weathers out on the bikes ..... my only input is heated grips as never felt the need for much else We all turned up today after lockdown and they were agast as t...

Re: Custom Earplugs
I've run custom ear plugs for the last 15 years or so, I've had : 1)just ear plugs - very comfortable, very durable and for me, no more sore ears/ear infections on multiday tours, I still use them for work purposes 2)ear plugs with speakers, not quitre as comfortable as the stand alone ones, still o...

Re: Heated Kit
Its a nightmare with all the potential costs with bluetooth controllers etc
fixed controllers are OK but a pain to fit to the bike
Bluetooth cost more but at least no fitting is required
Good Luck....

Re: Heated Kit
As above, in theory it should be doable if you are competent with electronics, plug wise most heated kit seems to use the Co-ax style of connector, certainly the Powerlet/Gerbing stuff I have is all interchageable, I also have a Keis wiastcoat for the Mrs and a battery pack, this works well and we h...

Re: What was the worst bike you have ever owned
The worst bike I've ever owned was a CCM 350 Enduro model....it was insanely tall, the front forks leaked for england, drum brakes that worked when they felt like it and not at all after a water crossing, the 2T rotax motor it was blessed with was fine but the gearbox, dear god, the first three gear...

Well, given the opinion of folk who have been impressed with the moulded type plug,I thought I'd try these DIY jobbies. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/PROGUARD-Mould-Your-Own-Custom-Earplugs-MYO-EAR-PLUGS-Case-Lanyard/162259263214?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&var=461236664480&_trksid=p2060353.m...

Re: Earpeace earplgugs, recommendation...
Ear plugs....funny things really, Ive always used them, epsecially after reading an article about the how low riding times are before damage occurrs.... :o I used disposable ones for years without issue, until I started doing multi-day tours, when I found I was getting sore ears/ear infections after...

Multistrada has more tech than you can point a stick at..... Re: Back in the saddle
Personally,I've found riding starvation to quite motivating. My mileage the last few years has been pretty poor, some of that down to family issues, but truthfully the desire to ride has been absent too. During lockdown, the combination of great weather, empty roads and then not being permitted to ride...

Re: BMF start the loud pipe argument all over again
Ive changed the end can on the Multistrada, but only because the OE was damaged by the previous owner, I ended up with a full euro 4 homologated one, but as most of the silencing is done in the cat, the only difference is the MIVV is slightly "Deeper" than std and thats all. V twins dont s...
