Usual banality of grocery shopping with a twist, I’ve managed to prepare breakfast and lunch for the next few days with evening meals all planned as well.

I have explained to the Gremlinette, a few times, not to leave her [Insert designer name here] bag on the front seat whilst driving, which she does constantly, let alone whilst parked up ...

Has the wonderful chillit come round this weekend to kindly service the gixer for me. (Yes I still have it) only to find two of the split coils have gone 😞 fa-harking-ell. They’re not cheap for a set of four 😳4093EE9D-3C5B-42E1-92EF-7F7D24C162F2.jpeg

I passed my final roleplay assessment today which means I’m let out to deal with proper clients next week, sold a log burner I acquired last year (didn’t fit in the hole, scored some 8 x 2 22mm chipboard floorboards for the loft(s) and went for an unexpected curry with one of the offspring.

Re: What have you done today thread?
Anyway, today I found out that my dog has been shot 😱😱😱
Not recently I hasten to add, but there's apparently something metallic in his front right chest, like a BB pellet. It's apparently really clear on the full body CT scan that he had today, the vet will show me tomorrow.
He was a rescue ...

Submitted my 2024/2025 tax return, looks like I owe £200 in tax. I’m still waiting for HMRC to refund over £250 from 2023/2024 PAYE due to a tight-fisted, now ex-employer, not paying full HMRC mileage allowance and HMRC needing to see my mileage log.

Re: What have you done today thread?
So far, today has been a day of chores:
Rear lawn, strimmed the edges and went over it twice, at different heights, with the mower. The ground underneath is much more uneven than I recall, so I’ll take a look at getting some screened topsoil and sand so I can top dress it and hopefully get it flat ...
