Re: Test post
@weeksy Its a server level 'problem' so you will have to get your hosts to whitelist this IP range (or it may be available for you to do in the cPanel)

Re: "New Posts" bug hunting
PS I was lured into the link in your signature. :D There's some tasty kit in there. KAOTM was an interesting browse too. Nice to see Solid Air in there. Feel free to join in, you don't need to have spent £1,000's on your equipment, its the music that counts. Thank you all for your input o...

Re: "New Posts" bug hunting
It was the session file (the one that controls the information about last visit etc) so it might have been a bug that somehow was only showing to you. Strange.Count Steer wrote: ↑Thu Aug 01, 2024 9:26 am but there's another difference here. I don't keep getting logged out
Thanks for the feedback, its much appreciated

Re: "New Posts" bug hunting
Well, it certainly appears that the 'try this and see if it works' work-a-round has done what was hoped for. I have reported back to the Development team and hopefully they will come up with a validated fix soon.

Re: "New Posts" bug hunting
Thats great news, but I'll leave the temporary change in place for a few more hours just to check before I report back to the Development team 9assuming its still working correctly that is)

"New Posts" bug hunting
On advice from one of the development team I have made a change to one file of the software. Its not going to be the solution, but may help point us in the right direction.
Please check the "New Posts" in the way you always did and report back if you find the same issue.
Thanks

Re: 'New posts' since the latest update
There is a 'Remember Me' checkbox on the Login page which drops a cookie on your browser. If you use multiple devices to access the board you need to click 'Remember Me' for each.
Should you delete cookies from your browser then you will be logged out on that browser.

Re: 'New posts' since the latest update
I have done some more looking around (including on other boards that I administer) and it appears that there might be a bug (or new feature  ) thats responsible for the issue. I had never experienced it myself as I dont use the 'new posts' link and no one else has reported it to me either. I h...

Its weird how random it appears to be. I'll run the update script again and see if that changes anything

Re: 'New posts' since the latest update
My 'new posts' list is still showing everything from after I cleared it this morning, despite posting browsing and editing posts.
Maybe its because I always open New Posts links in a new tab?

Re: 'New posts' since the latest update
Strange, my W11 laptop is scaled at 125% yet I have no difference between styles either here or elsewhere
Do you have a % in the url window when using prosilver_dark? (there shouldn't be, but I can not think of anything else)

Re: 'New posts' since the latest update
The New Posts table is populated with new posts made since your last login. If you (or your browser) logs you out the 'start time' of the list is reset to that time. My 'New Posts' list covered two pages this morning, with the earliest timestamp following the update I did on Saturday. I suspect (but...
