Re: Worrying noises coming from the loft...rodents!

Poison is the answer for mice. They are greedy buggers and readily eat it, and IME die quietly and cause no problems. Small and they desicate rather than decay.

Rats are a bigger problem, they are cautious about new food sources, and they can smell while they rot.

Tempting fate I know.........

Licence for 50 years, nil points in all that time. And yes, I have broken speed limits, almost every time I ride or drive. I am however careful where I speed, and I have been lucky a few times.

Obviously the manufacturers are not supporting bike dealers. When all the dealers are gone we will have nowhere to buy bikes.

Re: In todays news...

Having just spent some hours wrestling with my own tax affairs which involved a modest capital gain, I can honestly say that the sooner the UK system gets a total root-and-branch overhaul the better for everyone. You would not believe the ridiculous complexity of the rules and calculations, just to ...

The site the company I work for belongs to a pension fund, the pension fund of the previous MD (his son runs the company now). Apparently, if he died the company would have to sell the site to pay the IHT shortfall. Perhaps not the smartest way to arrange your tax affairs unless that was his actual...

Half? Best wipe out 90% to give a bit of headroom for growth and expansion.

Re: How much developed nations owe developing countries for global warming?

Climate change happens. It has happened more than once in the past, when no homo sapiens was available to blame. It will likely happen again long after we are reduced to fossils. We probably have more than a little to do with the current change, but it is doubtful if anything we do will actually cha...

Bastards wont even get me a quote, most insurers are fine, as are MoneySupermarket and Comparethemarket, but Quote me Happy prefer to not quote me cross.

Can't see them selling at 5k, seat height is still ridiculous for most beginner off roaders who are sub 5'9 I just don't get this sub 5' 9" thing. You expect to get your feet planted on the ground on an "off-roader'? Err, hello, earth calling..... Err hello, you don't think adventure bike...

Possibly not, might have been a white Welsh do-gooder being over-anxious not to offend.

To some flavours of Islam dogs are considered najis. If you were keeping to your faith you might avoid parks were there was a chance you could come into contact with najis, unless you like washing. That ^^^ is what is wrong with multi-culturism. Come to the UK - Fine, we welcome all colours and cre...

Re: 2029 general election results prediction.

The reality is that you most likely end up with government by coalition, and Parties with very disparate ideas making pacts over certain issues. I'm not convinced that this is a practical solution. Works reasonably well in most of Europe. :) Until such time as it doesn't, and said coalitions fall a...

Generic reasons, "perhaps this, perhaps that".

How many times do you need to drive through a camera at 3 points a pop to build up 100+ points?

If you consistently ignore the rules you need to be punished more severely, not let off.

Re: What do points make?

It shows our criminal justice system is broken.

Magistrates allowing repeat offenders off for sympathy.

Judges handing out token punishments for some major crimes.

Prison system routinely letting people out after 1/2 the sentence.
