Most leopards don't change their spots . It's probably only a matter of time before some journalist uncovers the story that Keir was receiving Harrods Christmas hampers when he was DPP .

Re: In todays news...
World population and Massive immigration may not be at all problematical to some . It clearly is to a lot of people . Councils have been concealing the high costs of housing asylum seekers because it is " sensitive " . Some companies are making literally millions from short term housing . ...

Re: Charms, amulets, lucky gonks and other superstitious objects.
Many top sportsmen/women have their lucky routines , underpants or put their socks on in a certain order right ? I've been playing bowls for about three years , but my games is inconsistent . Recently I had my best game ever , and upon visiting the gents at the end of play , discovered that I had le...

Yorick was asking about hypnotherapy... Nobody could be more sceptical than me , but during a cabaret act some time ago , I was " put under " and the missus told me I was miles away , and putty in his hands . If you use a reputable service what's to lose ? Might even work for Gremlinette ?...

Re: Hedge Trimmers / Pole Trimmers
Your collected observations are not wrong ! When I said I wanted a pro or semi-pro tool , I really meant in terms of build quality and functionality . ( Sadly ) I do have lots of hedging and I never tackle it all in one hit . I totally get and appreciate Felix's observations . I'll almost certainly ...

Hedge Trimmers / Pole Trimmers
I'm very happy with my corded Bosch hedge trimmer , but I need an extended version for the wide and tall hedges . I'd prefer to get a pro or semi pro tool rather than a toy . I'm hoping some of our pro gardeners could give us a pointer . I'm looking at the DeWalt DCMPH 18V with 5 amp batteries. Reco...

Re: Pension stuff, how's it all looking ? HAve you prepared ?
According to the " ftadvisor " , less than half the folk eligible for the " new " state pension actually receive the full amount . I've never been out of work in my life and have 48 years of full NI contributions, but I don't receive anything like the full amount . That is partly...

Re: Pension stuff, how's it all looking ? HAve you prepared ?
UK State Pension! Back on page 17 , I explained that I was in a long drawn out dispute with the DWP. Pleased to say it has finally been resolved , and I have received a modest back payment to cover 5.5 years of underpayment . ( I believe that in itself is quite unusual ) . In case it may help anyone...
